Service: When I entered the restaurant, no one responded to me. I waited there for over three minutes and still no response. The people who worked/owned the restaurant were there all talking and laughing but I was ignored and this wasn’t because they couldn’t see me, they could and I was 10 feet away from them. I said excuse me multiple times but was ignored until a lady stood up and spoke to me.
Moving on, the lady was nice and was able to give me different offers that suited my budget and she answered my questions.
Food: The food was spicy like I requested which was good and it was tasty but the quantity was smaller than I expected for the price $21.24. I understand things are expensive in this economy but honestly the pork was non existent in my food. Mainly just rice and vegetables. I was stored fried pork but I can count how many pieces of tiny pork were in my food.

Read moreForbidden City has been our go to for Chinese food for decades until they moved from the corner of Walnut and King a to King and Spring. Since then we’ve ordered maybe once a week and the food was great. Then, the food changed because unbeknownst to us they sold Forbidden City to another owner and all the previous staff left. Since then the food is inedible i’m not even sure if it’s fit for human consumption. I don’t even know if you can get in the restaurant anymore to sit down. Because the last time we were there and we were gonna order supper to sit down they said no they weren’t doing in dinning service. This was only a couple years ago, so well after Covid. Forbidden City the staff was fantastic. They were like our family extended family. They went and they would give us extra stuff extra food extra noodles and the last time we went to the Mandarin one of the waiters up there came over to our table and said he recognized me from Forbidden City and that was...
Read moreI had many wonderful dining experiences at 赣饭人. This Jiangxi cuisine restaurant has created a space where many Chinese migrants and international students can feel at home. The dishes were fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The tomato and egg soup was comforting and well-balanced, while the stir-fried dishes offered a perfect combination of textures and seasonings. The braised bean curd skin stood out with its rich, savory sauce, and the ingredients tasted incredibly fresh.
Portions were well-sized, and the service was warm and attentive. The owners sometimes throw in some bangers and jokes, adding a fun, personal touch. This is an excellent spot for authentic Jiangxi-style cuisine. I highly recommend it for anyone craving a hearty,...
