Pring Guesthouse — Hotel in Hamilton

First time ever stayng in hostel setting for me. It felt more like B&B which I have run myself in past, and have stayed in several over the years. I'm in my 60's now and was sure to be viewed as the creepy guy, but didn't get this feel at all. Felt very relaxed, comfortable, extremely convenient and of good value. Just wanted a basic accommodation for one evening and it delivered well for my needs. Much better than seedy motel would for similar but still much higher price. I had private room directly off lower kitchen. Free coffee and basic cereals was nice touch and appreciated in morning. Enjoyed the coffee (preferred drip over machine and both were available) but had my own food for duration. I dried all the dishes and put away in appreciation. There weren't many. Think the building was less than half full, but chatted with a few nice folks (well 1 at least). Room was great. Heating system seemed to be working hard to heat this lower level. It was a bit noisy with rattle and I needed to grab extra blanket, which we were welcome to. Worked out fine, and I managed to get the rattle out of my mind. There was no carry over noise from the rest of building. Love the architecture of these older buildings and I got some ideas for my own place now. Particularly the staircase. I only had short 1 night stay but would have enjoyed longer. Sure to be back when in Hamilton next time. Parking worked out great for me, which i was concerned about as driving from Owen Sound to unfamiliar area in my new Sentra. I understand is limited to drive but there was a spot for me and was easy access. Great. Host (Tanya) was expecting me, and was very kind and accommodating. I enjoyed it, Thank you.

Stayed here before to attend an event at FirstOntario Centre and liked it very much. Came back with a large group of young adults for an event at McMaster University. Love this place as a home away from home to stay. Kitchen with everything you can ever need in a kitchen, two fridges, lovely living room, has laundry facilities. Free wifi. The rooms are nicely furnished with desks and night tables etc. The owners are super helpful and very very nice people. This is not a hotel but a really wonderful house. The house is very clean, with very nice bathrooms and showers. Walking distance to FirstOntario Centre, very close to McMaster University. I will be staying here everytime I am in Hamilton plus will be using it again for future trips to...

The staff was very welcoming! Check in was very simple and fast. I got a tour of the house by the staff upon arrival. They provided towels for the hot shower, and good breakfast which included oats, cookies and cereal. Free coffee and tea as well. I appreciated this very much! The kitchen was very well organized with labeling where each utensil is located so not to search thousands of drawers to find the right thing needed. Also, there were clear instructions on keeping the place tidy and clean, so the guesthouse was very clean and the guests were very respectful of these rules. I stayed in the faust room which was very spacious and clean. Bed was very comfortable. Thank you so much staff! My stay with you was amazing. Love...
