Wimpy's — Restaurant in Hamilton

After we got seated we waited roughly 15 mins before a waitress came over to us and asked if anyone had looked after us yet, The same waitress had served a table behind us, she had a brief conversation with them and kept on walking by us. We ordered garlic bread with cheese for $5.49 and we received 2 slices of what looked like toast and with what looked like a slice of triangled cheese that didnt cover the bread. The burgers we had looked like they were a thick frozen Patties from a big box store they r definitely not homemade, but with that being said the were still tasty. Our daughter had pancakes 3 large and they were good and filling. oh and the waitress kept on coming back wanting to take our plates with food still on them that we were still eating from and kept on asking if we were ready to pay like we were being rushed out the door just mins after finishing our dinner. I understand that they are new and just opened today but for a grand opening the wait staff should have had more training. It was an amazing meal. The diner has the atmosphere of a 50's style, with the booths and stools at the counter. Decorated in a nice blue and chrome. Anyway, the important stuff. I ordered a regular breakfast, the home fries were to die for. They were so good. My sister had the French Toast and a chocolate milk shake. She's usually very picky about how it's made at different restaurants, and the French Toast more than passed her pickiness. The milkshake was handmade and not out of a machine, so it was incredible as well. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient, unfortunately I don't remember her name. This is the first time we've been to a Wimpy's Diner, but definitely not our last. I highly recommend this restaurant. We are usually breakfast people, a few times a month. If we go later in the day and order something other than breakfast I will update the post. However, if breakfast was this good? I imagine the other food is...

I have had Wimpy's on a number of occasions and this was the first time I was really disappointed. This was the first time ordering from this location and I only chose it as there was bogo deal. Like most places, no salt in the eggs. Denny's has been the only place I recall that tasted like they put a little salt in their eggs. Wimpy's fries also had so salt. Their house potatoes was ok. Not my cup of tea. The sausage was decent. Their pancakes was really soft. It was like cutting butter. I generally like their pancake, however, when we got them, one set was more golden than brown, as seen in the pictures. When I tried it, it was fluffy but doughy. It definitely needed to cook longer. I didn't end up finishing it. It was too much for me. I tried their vanilla milkshake which came in a soda cup. It was good. I normally would rate then a 4 based off what I have tried from different locations, but...
