Wingporium at the Prince Eddy — Restaurant in Hamilton

Not great service. Slow. Food is mid at best. Dirty.

*I never approached the manager, I was out in public and was spoken to as I had to walk past by to pay my bill, I did not start the conversation, nor did I approach.

Nothing I mentioned had anything to do with any experience other than what was mentioned below and this response borders on intimidation which goes against the ethos of customer reviews as the management is bringing up events that have no ethical reason to be discussed in public.

Nothing I said in my review mentions anything different than dozens of other peoples experiences, the only difference is that you are not harassing them as you do not know them. If you were truly concerned with using reviews as opportunities for improvement, you would have asked about my experience and apologized for how poor the service was when we visited.

If I was posting a false review, I wouldn't attach my name to it. Thank you for your offer to "make it right" but I'll pass.

**Editing my review to be clear that the visit I was referring to did not happen the same day as my review. As the manager of the bar confronted me in public while I was out and suggested that my review was dishonest. Also amending "nightmare" to "not great" to be more accurate and less emotionally charged.

I came to this bar with friends to order food in the winter. The food we received was fine but not better than a box of frozen wings at home. The benches etc were peeling and the place looked run down. There were five of us. The bar was not busy. Some of the items we tried to order were out of stock, frustrating but not the end of the world. Four of us received our food, ate and had our leftovers packed up before the fifth friend received her food. We were barely checked on in this time and at no time were we spoken to about the wait. In fact, when the food finally arrived it was just dropped off without an apology or acknowledgement that it was late or why.

Overall, not worth the money. There are a plethora of better places to go...

Appalled at Wingporium’s customer service, or lack thereof. We called and made a direct order for pick up last week (2/8/2025). The girl on the phone repeated our order back twice to confirm.

My husband asked when he arrived if it was everything we’d ordered, and they confirmed. When he got home, they got our wing order wrong. Disappointing, it happens, that’s all fine, but we were hopeful for a resolution (even just an apology, or an offer to remake our order).

We called the restaurant back and spoke with the same girl - telling her about the incorrect order. She said there was nothing she could do but that she’d have the manager give me a call the next day. I gave her my email address too for extra measure. She assured me he would absolutely be getting in touch.

It’s now been a week and no one from Wingporium has contacted me. I tried finding an email address where I could reach them, and there was nothing found online. I tried calling, no answer. I tried sending them a DM on Instagram, and they have not responded.

While we’ve enjoyed the food in the past, our unpleasant experience is reason enough to go elsewhere for wings in Hamilton, and to leave this review so that people know they will not be taken care of...

I've personally seen workers will drop wings and put them back in the fryer, DO NOT EAT HERE. Dirty and molded utensils, watch out for those crusty bits in your dip, because they don't flip. Remove the wrapper from the glassware and check underneath before consuming. It's a health and safety nightmare. The manager blames workers for not educating the other workers. Fires employees for their "attitude" when its an opinion on how they handle things. If I could give this place less than a star I would. They defrost their meat (pull pork, ground beef, chicken and burgers) in the same microwave back to back, then put it on the flat top to cook. Those stains on your glass, yeah that's from someone else. Not to mention they are flat out lying to you about 88 sauces and the butter is flavored oil. So if you get the Buffalo sauce, you are eating hot sauce and oil that is buttered flavored. So if you ordered that, I'm very sorry you were served cooking oil...
