The order was payed, tipped factored in via SKIP THE DISHES and I received nothing. I attended the store after a few telephone complaints to skip the dishes as well as to Edo Japan and the response from Edo was “it’s not our problem”. I asked them to honour the order after having paid $27 which included the tip for the driver who I tracked via the App and who showed up at my street but did not exit his vehicle and did not deliver the paid for food . Having explained this thoroughly on the chat as well as in person, still the response from Edo Japan was mam, Our manager will call you. which never materialized which is why I went to the location and advised that “No food was delivered” as I had explained on the telephone. I received nothing except attitude so I’m done with this location off of James Mowatt in Edmonton SW where I have spent many dollars. I realize they’re only nice to you when you give them money but when there’s a problem such as mine , they switch off the welcome. They could as a matter of good faith correct the situation but chose to push me aside, acknowledge the $27 and dismissed me stating it’s not their problem and that I should take it up with SkipTheDishes. I must say customer service is lacking here so I will no longer support that food chain anywhere . The attitude of the two workers was that it’s not their problem, and in particular, the male server kept interrupting me while I was trying to explain my concern, rolled his eyes, walked away, spoke to his colleagues in his language and dismissed me as if I was not standing there and his final direction to me was. “ Take it up with SkipTheDishes.” I then asked him if he had my money in his register…. He said yes we got paid. I responded “Correct and the driver was tipped” I repeated that the driver was outside my street and that I could see him, but he never exited his car and instead the tracker reported my order as delivered and asked me to rate the service which to me is the worst I’ve ever encountered so I rate your store and service as -100 and you’ve lost a customer which is probably inconsequential because I don’t make that much of a difference ! Read moreThis location is new...and you can tell. Total gong show. I went in last night to order two Sukiyaki Beef (one on noodles, one on rice). I was given my order number and told "just keep this incase we mess up your order" (no joke, the cashier told me that). I waited, and was given my order. There were two different containers so I made the assumption that one was noodles, one was rice. Reminder: NEVER ASSUME. Drove all the way home to discover I had the complete wrong order. I was given some sort of vegetable soup and a chicken dish. Since it wasn't even close to what I ordered I drove back to the store. When I arrived the staff was laughing and joking about how they gave me the wrong order - I didn't find it funny as I had now driven back and forth and wasted however much time doing so. As a new business, I feel it would have gone a long way to throw in some spring rolls or something to make it up- not LAUGH at a customer's misfortune. They had me wait while they made the correct order for me, I checked it and this time it was correct however I will note the beef looked like the scrapings of whatever was burnt to the grill. So check your order!!! I love Edo and am sad to say I won't be going back...
Read moreWhen I ordered the sumo size meal from the app i only got extra rice in the meal but rest remained the same as a normal meal for veggies but on the app and online order it said you will receive 50% extra on the meal which includes the meat which was even less than the normal meal there is next to no meat in the meal.Not living up to what it’s advertised as have tried this option from other edo restaurants which lives up to what it’s advertised. Also the cook which is making food maybe is the owner or the manager just yells at the front staff and does not care for the standard of the food chain ! As I ordered take out dint notice this till I got home and when I called them back I was told if I am not happy with this maybe to order somewhere else !!! With almost a 20$ bill and getting this is just not acceptable from this...
