During a drive through order. First person gets half way through my order then disappears. (Easy order, no complicated items), a new person comes back and asks to take my order. Fine. I start the item and number of nuggets. She asked “how many nuggets would you like” I said, 8, like I said… The rest of the order went this way as well. Get to the window. Couple minutes go by, lady rambles off order back to me while looking away and mumbles the end. She hands me the debit machine. I pay. No receipt, hands me drinks. Then comes back a minute later stating to park out front and it will be 15 minutes more. There was very clearly no parking out front. I park at another establishment and wait 5 minutes. I decide to just go inside. I wait 5 minutes inside, 2 people ahead of me together, and some Uber eats or whatever, they come in after I did. They get helped first. Fine.. I go grab the drinks in which have already melted half the ice. I stand there again. Nobody in front of me. 2-3 minutes. Another driver comes in. The lady who has made eye contact with me multiple times this entire experience, looks at the driver and asks if she can help them. I spoke up. The driver tries to explain how he’s more important. I said I didn’t care. The lady finally acknowledged me. I then asked Colin the situation. She gets the drive through person. They explain there’s still 9 minutes left etc. Then asks the person making the chicken how much longer. He said 10 minutes or so. I explain there’s still pops we’re already turning gross. They just stared at me blankly. I said I just want a refund. A couple minutes later the manager shows up. Refunds me. Nobody apologized, nobody offered a resolution. Nothing. I’m a fat guy that makes alberta money. I frequent Popeyes and have personally introduced people to it because of how great it was in the states. This store off James mowatt trail is terrible and I will never buy from there again. I rarely leave a negative review. This store has earned it. Read moreWe didn’t have a good experience here unfortunately… went for lunch, ordered family meal plus ghost pepper chicken wings to try since it’s new on the menu. We asked for freshly made chickens and cashier wanted to force us to take the ones sitting in the tray for a while. We politely declined. Cashier informed us it will be 40 mins wait and we have no problem with it and waited. No one was cleaning the table so we had to. They were not even busy, only one take out customer and us were inside. Then food came, the young girl who brought us food was very nice and asked us if we want some jam, this was only positive thing for this visit… Then we started eating, we feel the chicken wings have some sour taste, but unsure if they were fresh or not, we thought maybe because of ghost pepper seasoning, that is just the taste. Until the 4th one, the chicken wing smelled bad, clearly it was not fresh. But since we have already ate 3 of them, we didn’t go ask for another order of chicken wings. Fried chicken was extra greasy, oil was felling out once you bite chicken. Couple hours after eating there, my mo first start to experience stomach pain and diarrhea after. Food wasn't ready, no one would acknowledge us at the pickup window and it took us literally putting our heads in the window to even have someone talk to us. Didn't stop there - our order wasn't even acknowledged. We ordered 10 tenders/2 sides/5 biscuit meal - we literally watched them give the tenders away to the takeout window twice and were told 5 more minutes four times. Our sides sat on the side the whole time. It was for take out and they still gave it to us on a tray. The entire time we watched as staff didn't communicate and tripped over each other in the back. The manager did not lead or attempt to address the kitchen of chaos. So a meal we ordered 35 mins in advance was prepared 30 mins after we arrived for pickup. We were not once given an apology.
