We decided to try out the new Boston Pizza in Hope & had been warned that the service was very slow
We were a party of 3. We were seated immediately & the restaurant seating was 3/4 full & the bar area 1/4 full. We sat for 15 min before the hostess came to our table to ask if a server had come to our table yet. We said no so she got us waters, explained they were "busy" & a server would be with us soon. We waited another 10 min before a server came & took our drink order.
We ended up ordering our food 30 min in to our visit. And about 20 min later we received 1 of our dinners, which was lasagna. We were told our other 2 meals (both salads) would be out shortly. 10 minutes later we finally received our 2 salads. The 1st salad was exactly what was ordered but the 2nd wasn't. 1 salad (which was ordered with a grilled chicken breast & dressing on the side) came w/o a chicken breast or dressing? When the server finally came over to ask how the food was, we let her know of the missing chicken & dressing, she asked if I wanted her to get me a chicken breast but honestly I wasn't willing to wait any longer. It's odd to try & go out for a Friday night dinner & the meals all come out so sporadically.
Throughout our visit we were told 5x how busy it was & it was the excuse for every mishap. It honestly did not seem busy at all for a restaurant on a Friday night. I can't imagine what it would be like on a night with a full house.
Our waitress was very nice, she did give us a discount for all the mishaps.
The food was OK. Not bad but also nothing to write home about.
Will we give it another try? Absolutely
I really want this restaurant to succeed. We need it in this community.
My biggest suggestion, bring...
Read moreOur first visit we waited for 20-30 minutes for our takeout order, once we got home noticed we were missing a bag of food, we should have checked so I went back and picked it up and figured hey they just opened cut them a break. Sadly once we started eating we were quickly disappointed in the food. For the amount of money they charge the food is at best sub par. I can get the same soggy saltiness cardboard at all the other pizza chains in Hope for half the price. And I could even get great pizza at our local pizza place (non chain one).
Returned today and gave them a second chance. The lady who helped me was friendly and quick, no problems there and the building is nice. Sadly yet again the pizza was flavourless, soggy, and way overpriced. We live 4 minutes away so it didn’t spend much time in the box in our possession but was soggy enough to think otherwise. Considering the 1 deep dish pizza cost $30+ this just isn’t okay. The wings also had about 5 small to medium sized wings and then 5 pieces that were barely the size of baby carrots for $16 at-least give me some meat with the bones you’re seasoning… speaking of seasoning the kids fries were poorly mixed, while my son was eating them he said oww, we thought he had something sharp in his mouth, turned out the fries were spicy…. The kids meal fries….. no indication online they would be.
I think at this point we’re done wasting money at this establishment, I’d rather spend my $90 after tip at the local pizza place and buy dinner twice with leftovers I actually...

Arriving at Boston Pizza for the first time was a delightful surprise. The seemingly small building turned out to be quite spacious, and upon entering, we were warmly greeted by the hostess who promptly seated us and offered recommendations, including the tempting suggestion of deep-fried pickles – an immediate yes from me! As we settled in, I couldn't help but marvel at the expansive interior adorned with local artwork and TVs galore, especially the impressive array above the bar.
When it came time to order, I eagerly opted for the fried pickles and the fried chicken sandwich, along with other delectable items chosen by my family. While the food was indeed tasty, I couldn't help but notice a couple of areas for improvement. Firstly, the abundance of cigarette butts outside the front door and in the parking lot was off-putting. Additionally, my chicken sandwich arrived with grilled chicken instead of fried, and it was missing the extra lettuce I had requested but was too hungry to wait again.
Despite these hiccups, our hostess was fantastic, providing attentive service throughout our meal. Although the restaurant was only half full, the kitchen turnaround time was a bit slow, especially considering we had kids with us.
Overall, our experience at Boston Pizza was enjoyable, and despite a few minor issues, we would certainly consider returning...
