Blue Dog Cafe — Restaurant in Invermere

Lovely place in downtown Invermere, parking right in front and cozy, coffee shop/restaurant inside. Tables well spaced and sectioned off with plastic between tables/areas. Popped in just for coffee but were tempted to try their tomato spinach soup, which was hearty, hot and delicious served with a generous slice of bread & butter. Husband had the tuna melt which was also served on thick cut bread and grilled on both sides, very generous portion served with an option of tortilla chips and salsa or other options. Came in for the dog friendly patio. I sat for 20 minutes and the server never even acknowledged my presence. She came to serve 2 tables their food, but barely even glanced at me. It was just me and my dog, so I didn't want to leave him to go inside to inquire. If they only do counter ordering, maybe the server could mention something. Or there could be a sign in the patio stating as such. Or maybe the server could have told me when she walked right by me to deliver...

The blue dog cafe was a nice spot to stop in for a quick lunch. The menu has a great selection of items. The service was quick for how busy it was and staff were friendly. I had the chicken cranberry sandwich. The sandwich had nice thick cut slices of bread, with a good amount of chicken lettuce and cranberry to match the bread.
