Chopped Leaf — Restaurant in Kamloops

The wrap I had was very tasty but there were a few things that bothered me. While waiting I watched as the food was being prepared. I noticed the bowls that they mix the different foods in constantly going down the line and started over again, being reused without being washed. They were very busy with a lunch rush but still cleanliness and detail should be consistent. For people with food intolerances, allergies or people like myself that are vegan this means you can be getting a little bit of everything mixed in with your food. One guy (who is also vegan) told me he ended up with a piece of chicken and some cheese in his food! I also observed that the tongs that they use to mix the food with get placed in a plastic container of dirty water, I’m guessing to kind of rinse them and then get used over and over. I never saw them get washed while I was there. I also noticed no one wears gloves while handling the food. Based on the wrap alone I would give more stars ⭐️ because it was very tasty, but watching the food get made made me feel uncomfortable. I did try a chopped leaf in Calgary while I was there recently and what a difference. The place was very spacious, super clean, they wore gloves and the bowls were cleaned after each meal was prepared. We need more places like this to eat that have great vegan options, but cleanliness and attention to detail are...

Chopped leaf is very tasty! The food is very fresh and the workers are usually friendly. The store on Columbia isn't very big so sitting down to eat isn't normally an option unfortunately. In terms of "skip the line" and order online, the app and website are absolutely terrible. It took me 15 minutes to try to place a simple order because the app takes you to a poorly designed website very clearly not made for mobile devices. The website has no pictures and reminds me of a weird web page from 2004. I found out that the site wouldn't accept AMEX as a form of payment so when I tried to press back to use a different card, my whole order got deleted and I was signed out. Just a whole frustrating process which is surprising. I thought chopped leaf would be on the website train. Again, the food is awesome and the store is great, but the website and app needs work.

We stopped in Kamloops during our drive from the Rockies to Vancouver and were looking for a healthy meal. We found the Chopped Leaf on Columbia St by chance and decided to try it. The salad bowls were delicious, healthy, satisfying and affordable...and were served very quickly.

We enjoyed the meal so much, that we accidentally left a purse behind, which we did not discover until we had already arrived in our destination many km away. We called the Chopped Leaf, and the staff told us they had found the purse and stored it safely. We then asked the assistant manager Nicole Hall to box the purse and prepare for shipping. We arranged for Purolator to pick it up and it arrived at our home a couple days later, everything intact and nothing missing.

Nicole and the rest of the staff were nothing but gracious and polite in their interactions with us. We will definitely go back to The Chopped leaf next time we are...
