White Spot – A True Canadian Classic
White Spot is a piece of Canadian history you can taste. Founded in 1928, its very first menu item was something humble and iconic: the hot dog served from a roadside food cart. From that beginning, the brand grew into a beloved restaurant known across the province — and it has proudly remained Canadian grown and Canadian owned ever since.
Walking inside, you’ll often find framed photos of the founder and past leaders who shaped the restaurant’s legacy, reminding you that this isn’t just a chain — it’s a story that has grown through generations. The staff are warm, welcoming, and happy to share that history. There’s something special about service where people really care and know where their restaurant comes from.
And of course… the food. From the classic Shrimp Sandwiches, signature burgers, and those famous milkshakes, there’s an unmistakable comfort to the menu. The endless fries are a playful bonus — always hot, always fresh. And everything tastes just a little better with Triple O Sauce, White Spot’s iconic signature spread that has become a legend of its own. If you’re in a hurry another day, their sister brand, Triple O’s, offers the same flavour in a quick-service style.
The Kamloops location has beautiful views of the rolling hills and seasonal colours, making breakfast, lunch, or dinner feel relaxed and local. Whether you grew up with White Spot or you’re discovering it for the first time, it holds that feeling of home.

Read moreDisappointed. I should have taken my cue from their sign out front, that this was a bad place to get a good breakfast. No coffee upon seating, took quite awhile to get order and first coffee, which sat empty waiting for a refill until we were wrapping up. I was about to get up and get it myself. Not offered selection of spreads for toast, but had unwanted strawberry jam and ketchup side. Never once asked about quality of meal, which included re-deepfried potatoes, cold sliced roast beef, and extremely chewy sourdough toast. Great job using coarse ground pepper, but the holes in the shaker are too small... The blueberry waffles were good, as was the side of sausages. Zero service, and had to specifically request a "no tip" option, as it cancelled out multiple times when selection "no tip". Mildly arrogant, to think a tip will ALWAYS be there for such sub-standard.... hell "sub-human" service. Being short staffed is not my problem, it's a managerial shortfall, that likely translates into every aspect of this establishment. I will no longer trust these guys with my food prep, thanks. Following my extremely detailed review, you seriously ask me for more details? The photos of the "food" we tried to eat, should provide sufficient evidence that it was a...

They asked to see the passport and ID which I have both on my phone. I showed both to them. Then the young man became very adamant that he had to see my actual license and not just a picture, to which I responded the picture is acceptable. He then started yelling at me to show my actual license which I thought was very unprofessional, disrespectful, and down right ignorant. He was still babbling when I showed him my actual license just to appease him. I was embarrassed and annoyed at the manner in which he was talking to me and I may have swore, but given his attitude, I make no apology for it. We were eventually seated and given menus, but the whole experience left me unimpressed. I wound up leaving to take my business elsewhere. Incidentally, we went to Earls where I showed my photos of the passport and drivers license and the hostess even complimented me on how I had both requirements so readily available on one device. Too bad White Spot has such a narrow mind when dealing with how to gain customers back. I will not go to that establishment again because of the disrespect their...
