STILL.....5 Stars for the karaoke host Darren. I've been back to this place 3 times now. And I've not seen the same manager as when I last made my.......less than favorable review. And since my experience has improved again, I'm now re-reviewing this place on Google.

Needless to say, its nice to NOT be singled out and kept from entrance on a Friday night or Saturday night just because I don't drink alcohol......as I was when this place was implementing cover charges, and the manager would come outside the 2nd set of doors, as there is 2 sets of doors, and then go back inside the 1st set of doors, and tell the doorman who to let in and who not to let in......and who to make wait longer via a direct lineup @ front doors original entrance, and THEN by even having the entrance @ the back (1st customer screening) and then implementing a waiting area (2nd customer screening), which was to profile specific types of customers, and make less than most favorable customer profiles wait long enough so they'd just completely leave and go to another establishment.

After a quick assumption on my 3 most recent experiences of this place, based on how the management was handling business before I boycotted this place for over a year and then very generously, without a fee, provided a less than favourable review, with the recent lack of physically seeing the same manager, I can only assume this place must now be run by another manager.......which is a step back into the right direction. If they have the same manager but he remains out of sight now, its about time he talked to Martin, Martin Up, and learned his lesson to not outright discriminate against customers......because we can, and have made multiple less than favorable reviews on how we WERE treated, and can and will do it again.

So, once again, at least for now, as of Sunday, August 27, 2023, I recommend this place for non-alcohol drinking customers to socialize on a Friday or Saturday night.

I also noticed all of the staff is different except for the karaoke host, Darren. Darren is great. He was there before and is still there. I've never had a problem with him. He is great @ his job and...

We wanted to play pools have some beer so needed up at central station , from outside the restaurant has no OPEN sign , looks closed but open the grand door and u will see it’s open 😄. It was 5 :15 pm and the bar tender lady was already sulky n rude even though I asked what beer she recommends from the tap . Asked for bar menu to know the prices and was surly they don’t have the price menu , every drink is a surprise if you r new , I don’t like that ! Anyways I ordered a winter ale and was served in a big glass without asking which size I want . We ended up paying non Ed to the game room to play pool which is 1.25 a game no surprises on price 🤣. Beer temp was not great but bearable, we enjoyed the game away from the bar with unfriendly staff . To our surprise a server came in to the pool room to ask if we are doing okay for the drinks and we were pleased there is some guest service here and she recorded us the local IPA beer which we had as our second glass and she suggested we take the smaller glass as we are trying it ! Beer tasted awesome , undid the whole experience . That’s why I believe your staff can make lot of difference to the customer experience ! Well thank you and we enjoyed ! Could have been good but... So I went in asked about the advertised "burger Wednesday" special and was told that's after 5pm, ok, no problem. So I asked for a Canadian with a side of tomato juice ..."we don't have tomato juice , just clam" (last 2 times I was there I got tomato) . Ok, maybe they are out of stock, ...shouldn't happen but no problem. I also ordered a burger and fries and asked for ketchup in the bag as the order was to go. I overheard the server tell the "chef" to include the ketchup. The "chef" had one other order she was working on. So I guess, lost in the high pressure burger order plus one other, I didn't get the ketchup. No big deal right? Wrong! There doesn't seem to be one place in Kamloops that can fulfill a fast food order correctly and the Central is obviously no different. 3 stars because the food is actually good, - 2 stars for lack of...
