Pizza 64 - TRU Sahali — Restaurant in Kamloops

Heard some alright things about this place and thought I'd give it a try. Huge mistake. I ordered pickup. Got to the store, staff were friendly enough, but they were BLASTING Punjabi Gangster rap videos on the TV. So I did show up early and the food was ready about the time I was expecting. Cool. Got my food and left. It's whatever at this point. So for those unfamiliar, pizza64 has a premium pizza price point comparable with let's say Bold or RTP but the quality is at best Panago(not the old Panago which was actually pretty good mid pizza).

Crust was crispy. Sauce was underdeveloped. Toppings were skimpy and had a fast food chain pizza quality. For the price it was just not what I was expecting. It is definitely not deserving of its rating.

It is MID... MIDDLE TIER pizza at it's best. I imagine those who pick this place are for more of its Indian flavours based pizzas and those loyal to that which is where I suspect the high rating comes from.

If you are looking for GOOD, higher tier pizza and are okay with paying for it this is not the place. I would stick to Bold, Red Swan, or my favourite, Red Tomato Pies.

If you just want mid pizza which is totally fine or to try one of their different types of flavours go ahead.

One more thing. I worked in a popular/busy pizza place as a teenager/young adult as a cook, delivery driver, and eventually management so I'm not just saying stuff. I'm a born and raised Canadian. This place failed to even cut through the pizza. Not just the crust, the toppings. It's lazy. The pizza was well done which I did not ask for. Lazy. There was not the rush of pick ups and deliveries you would expect at a quality pizza place. This was at 5pm and it was DEAD. Also, blasting gangster rap videos(yes, blasting to the point you need to raise your voice to be heard) in whatever language or whatever music is just really dumpy business practice. I literally love gangster rap and listen to a much more serious style but blasting it in your storefront is just stupid.

I will not try Pizza 64 ever again. Overpriced for what it is and underwhelming. Only thing I can say good is was it was ready on time and edible.

I guess you don't always get what you pay for. Could have went to Pizza Hut, Panago, Domino's, or lil Caesars for much less.

Edit: Just opened the wings. All flats no drumettes. I prefer flats but I like a few drumettes too. What this tells me is I could have gotten literally 10 drumettes and not flats. A chicken Wing is 50/50. Also I want a few drumettes to go with my flats. Again, it's just LAZY and low quality.

Edit 2: NO SUPRISE... These guys most likely use a paid service to boost their reviews which all have something in common. I post a negative review and within an hour a couple of positive...

We arrived there around 12 all hungry and in search of a good pizza as somebody recommended you guys to us. But the person at the desk ask for a physical student Id to avail student discount we did show her virtual id but she did not accept it. Start trusting students we are not some liars roaming around. Hands down the best Pizza in town 🙌. Every slice of their pizza is so filling whether it's cheese or topping. I tried Pizza 64 McGill's butter chicken and Tandoori chicken pizza in lunch 😋with my friends and family and they find it very addictive.
