The Stock Pot Cafe — Restaurant in Kamloops

Came for my sisters birthday. Normally my partner and I come for breakfast together and we have a lovely time however today we went in for my sisters birthday and while my partner was speaking to the waitress I was speaking to my mother about what she was ordering and the waitress ignored my partner so she could yell at me asking in a very rude voice "are we getting it or not". Ive never had a negative experience before here but today the girl with tattoos on her fingers and hands up to her elbows was so rude and then we could see her making faces and looking at our table to her coworkers. Her coworker was friendly and I think they could either tell our server didnt like us or vice versa after as we got a new waitress and she was nice. Again this used to be my favorite breakfast place and i had a great time everytime but today was awful and honestly had my family and i livid the rest...

Tasty, well made, nutritious food, mediocre staff, an odd restaurant layout, and decent prices for what you get await you at The Stock Pot Cafe.

Our waitress wasn't friendly. She wasn't rude, but she shouldn't be a server if she can't smile or at least not sound like she's upset with you for being there. The table wasn't properly cleaned. There were sticky spots. The washroom area is confusing and a sign reading "fire exit do not open" is on the door to the dining area. Decades old curtains hang over the windows. But when the food came I enjoyed a well made meal. The special of the day was a roast-beef sandwich. The bun was extremely fresh, and the beef was a good cut. My first time back in almost 5 years. Last visit before hiatus left a bad taste. Returned today with high hopes. Not worth the hype. Servers were confused about what was included with ea meal. I was sold the feature "potato pancakes eggs n bacon" I was asked what kind of toast. I later found out that the toast was an extra on breakfast feature. Lame but okay. The one server was uneducated in the menu items but was very courteous. The older server, however, was not. She insisted I be charged for toast I did not order extra. The soup (a broth slit pea) was very bland and will be the way I remember this place for future reference. So many great eateries in Kamloops, learn from my mistake and sample one of those.
