New Punjab Sweets & Restaurant — Restaurant in Kelowna

Went for takeout so I can't comment on the speed of service but the food was unreal. I make a great butter chicken and mine isn't even in the same league as theirs. Delicious is a huge understatement. The vegetable pekora and the coconut chicken are probably the best we've ever had. Dining area was clearly visible and it looked spotless. As for the speed of my order, they told me 30 minutes from when I placed my order but it was ready to go in under 25, so no complaints on their timing from me. Our entire family loved every bite and we fully intend to make them a weekly go to place for dinner. Is it "fine dining" ? Probably not as I believe the space was formerly a pizza Hut and it appears they've kept the original base colors and booths. My best description would be a dressed up diner, but wow- so far easily the best tasting Indian food I've had in kelowna yet and prices were great. Easily comparable in pricing structure to a place like wok box, but a 100 percent more flavor!

*update- Went for a sit in meal there and it was equally amazing. We don't share the opinion of other reviews saying service was slow as that was not our experience. The initial service was a slight wait but once our server got to us, she was on point with great service, regular check in's to see how everything was and if we needed anything and the food was generous in portions, phenomenal price point and outstanding flavor. I had an excellent dining experience at New Punjab Restaurant. The dinner I had was incredibly tasty and satisfying. The standout items were definitely the samosas and daal makhani. The samosas were perfectly crispy on the outside and packed with flavorful fillings that left me craving for more. The daal makhani was rich, creamy, and had just the right balance of spices, making it a delightful accompaniment to the meal.

The ambiance of the restaurant was inviting and the staff was attentive and friendly. The service was prompt, and the presentation of the dishes was appealing. The menu offered a wide variety of options, showcasing the diverse flavors of Punjabi cuisine.

Where do I even begin. I never write reviews but after my last experience here I have to take to the time to let others know. I have visited this location over 4 times and each time the same dishes I ordered tasted VERY different. There was no consistency, when mentioning this to the servers I got no acknowledgment in return. The Shahi Paneer was the worst I have ever had(horrible). The Daal Makhni was completely bland, no flavour just loaded with cream. I ordered a Veg Thaali, all the curries I received in the Thaali were defiantly NOT FRESH. They were from the previous day, just reheated and thrown into the Thaali with a burnt Naan. After eating here the last time my family and I became so violently ill and we had each ordered separate dishes!
