When we got here, we were struck by the cool Mediterranean atmosphere! Just like I’d imagine a Greek restaurant by an oceanfront resort, very neat. Then our waitress proceeded to tell the different options and we ordered a side of Saganaki. Definitely awesome tasting and the experience was amazing. We got the special, Surfside platter and proceeded to stuff ourselves. Before we got the bill, the waitress proceeded to convince us to try their in house made desserts, to go, and did we ever enjoy the eckenick(I think that’s how it’s spelled). We dine here every summer when we come out to the cottage. The first time we were there we had the saganaki appetizer and we were hooked. The Greek salad is the best I have ever had. Tina and Terry are absolutely wonderful as is the entire team. Last evening we were in Kenora and had dinner there. My husband had gifted me with a gorgeous emerald claddagh ring for our anniversary and I was devastated when I realized the emerald had come loose and was missing. I at here on a recent holiday, and although the service and food was excellent, I ordered takeout. I was told over the phone that there was a mandatory 15% gratuity on all take out. It has been 5 days since my meal and I am still bothered by a mandatory gratuity on a minimal service order. I was treated wonderfully by the staff I interacted with and I would have tipped, but what am I tipping for?
