Sushi Sama (Kirkland) — Restaurant in Kirkland

I've ordered a few times from this location, but it's been quite frustrating. First, sushi can be good and fresh, but it's always hit and miss (50% of the time).

The most annoying part is that they don't respect their promotion of free dragon eye and sushi dessert. Last time I ordered, they didn't give me the promotion because I haven't "asked for it". It clearly written on their menu, why can't they just respect it? This time, I made sure to ask for the promotion and checked when I came to pick up. The sushi dessert wasn't included. I asked about it and and they said it's not included anymore. I repeat that I had specifically "ask for the promotion" when I placed my order. I thought I had an old menu, but when I checked in the menu on the counter, it was written clearly. I told the cashier and she just mumbled unintelligibly. I didn't want to push it since she was just a young teenager, but it made me very annoyed.

I also always ordered over 100 pieces and it cost me over 150$, so it's just very cheap to hold back on their promotion. They should just remove it in ordif they don't want to give a promotion.

So this whole experience just really aggravated me and I don't think I will order from this place again. Customer service is...

I am really glad they took the effort to make their own blend of soya sauce instead of serving those over salty packaged ones. With the wasabi they added that has a great kick to it, the two condiments pairs very well with their sushi. Their ingredients are fresh and of great quality. The rice itself is not too sticky nor too mushy, so the sushi doesn't crumble when dipping into the soya sauce which is great in my opinion. I also really enjoy their combination of sushi for the 44 pieces plateau, especially because they don't include any deep fried ones that I don't really enjoy. The sushi include a lot of the ingredients instead of just being packed of rice. The biggest concern is probably the wait time. It took approximately 1 hour for the food to be delivered, but it is to be expected since they are making fresh sushi on order. There is an abundance of ginger and soya and I am also not a big fan of the way they stack their sushi On top of each other. It ruins the presentation a bit for me. Outstanding sushi prepared to exacting standards. The rice mix/ seasoning is just what we especially like...that little touch of rice wine vinegar and great "ratio" of rice to proteins. We did a take out order, with some specific allergies that were immaculately respected. Generous rolls. Presented artistically and visually pleasing.
