barBURRITO — Restaurant in Kitchener

Today was our first time ordering from Bar Burrito and unfortunately it wasn’t a great experience. I ordered directly through their website, requested and paid for delivery and our order was just shy of $60. I did receive a confirmation email that they received my order and it would be delivered shortly, that was at 5:05pm. At 6:10pm I received a phone call saying my order had been ready for pickup at 5:35pm. I explained that I had requested and paid for delivery and that we were waiting for our food. I get it, there was a misunderstanding somewhere along the way, it happens, I understand that. However in this situation once they realized that a mistake had been made (on their end) and the food that had been sitting there for almost an hour would probably be cold and not suitable to send, I would hope that they would have discarded it and made fresh food to be delivered, unfortunately they didn’t. They sent the cold, mushy food which we were not able to eat. The fries were cold and dried out and the burritos had gone all soggy and mushy. We ended up having peanut butter sandwiches. EDIT: I have changed my review to 4 stars as the personalized follow up I got from this establishment was surprising and surpassed my expectations. Excellent customer service follow up.

I ordered online with a 30 minute wait time, not a problem as I had planned ahead for this. I arrived at expected pick up time, proceed to wait another 30mins inside, a total of a 60min turn around time. The staff seemed frantic and un-organized trying to put together orders for walk-ins, uber-type pick ups, and online orders. I get home and the burrito bowl I ordered had no cheese, and I had paid extra for extra cheese. My husband's tacos have no salsa...again had requested salsa. It's a new franchise location, so I get there is a learning curve, but the poor staff seemed out of their depth, stressed, and frantic. I felt bad for them. Worst place ever. I really had a bad experience over there. The music is too loud that I need to repeat my order several times. Even staff over there know that customer is waiting, they were still doing their stuff. Some of them didn’t have mask. They don’t even know the contains of the sauces as I am a vegetarian person. She put all the toppings in one area and didn’t spread it well. After wrapping my burrito, the outer portion of the tortilla is broke by her. She didn’t say sorry for that. She took another tortilla and open my burrito, put all the stuff inside the second one. I was being late for my work. So, I didn’t have a time to argue with her.
