The Rabbid Fox — Restaurant in Kitchener

I try to ensure that I buy / order local as often as I can. I have placed many take out orders from this location, and unfortunately 90% of my orders have been wrong. Weather it was the wrong type of wings, dipping sauce, or the order has been completing not what we ordered. We have not complained, but rather accepted that they may of made a mistake as we all do. The issue that I have is that my family rarely gets what we ordered! We made a pick up order today, and I was put on hold. I waited for 10 min on hold, and then I hung up and tried to call back. Every time I called, I got a VM. I had to call the Kitchener location... she was very nice, accommodating, accepting of my concern, and did everything she could including call her manager to ensure that I was looked after...(Beth). I did receive a call back from the location in Cambridge, and she was beyond apologetic. She had my order ready and correct, and again, apologized profusely for the misunderstanding. I then found out that she was alone to look after the WHOLE restaurant alone without assistance. From what I saw, she was also looking after the bar!! When I got there, I waited for an employee to assist, and one was one the phone, and a customer of yours tried to flag her down to assist. She turned away, and your customer tried to flag her again... nothing. Her conversation must have been really important! The cook came out from the back, and I said can I please get some service? He said I would have to wait as he didn't know how to work the cash. So I continued to wait! Finally this VERY friendly waitress said that she was alone tonight... her assistant was away, and apologized again. At this point I wanted my food and wanted to leave, and hoped that it was correct. I like the food, but at this point I will look for...

So me and my partner went here tonight for a late ish dinner when we walked in told to find a seat anywhere, cool no problem she brings menus and asks us what we would like to drink we said Pepsi and a Diet Pepsi when she came with the pop the regular pop was fine but the Diet Pepsi tasted more like carbonated water then pop, even after we had made our Waitress aware of this, she didn’t offer to replace at all, at this point I went to the restroom to walk past the bar to see our waitress standing behind the bar eating Dairy Queen, while chatting up a storm with other customers, coming back walking past bar again the waitress was now talking pictures on her phone which, when getting back to our table my “pop” was still sitting there and so was my partners empty glass, when we ordered my partner ordered the brisket sandwich and I ordered the double bacon cheese burger, I have to say his brisket sandwich was by far way better then my burger, my burger didn’t have any seasoning at all on it, but the best part of the burger was the cheese and the bacon! The patty of my burger was smaller then my bun. The brisket sandwich was very tasty has a good amount of meat on it and came with a very tasty gravy but not your normal kind of gravy. After food had come to the table, our waitress was no where to be found after napkins were needed at the table. I would have to say about 15 mins into our meal out waitress still hadn’t come and checked on us, our meal was almost completely done before she had come over to check on us, at this point we were able to ask for napkins but at that point it was to late my pants became the napkin... after all said and done with true price of food and our experience I wouldn’t go...

If you're looking for tasty drinks, delicious meals, good service, and a fun location for a bingo night... look somewhere else.

Every element of the experience was poor.

Drinks: My Sangria was just wedges of citris freshly added to red wine. My friend had another cocktail, she said it was awful. Both were about 10$.

Food: the appetizer of mixed fries ($10) tasted like freezer fries from a grocery store. My pizza ($18) had Lunchable quality sauce. The onion rings were fine (tried a friend's). Everything had good portions, but without the taste or execution to back it up.

Service: it was a busy night, so I'll return a star for that, but the waitstaff was nowhere to be seen. They were extremely hard to flag down. Our half of the restaurant was around the corner, and none of the tables were getting frequent service.

Bingo Night: this was supposed to be the draw for the restaurant, but it was terrible. They switched songs so quickly that it was stressful instead of fun. The music switched between too loud and too quiet. One of the members at my table won the 2nd best prize, and it was junk (a money saving advice calendar). What a waste of two hours.

I did not finish my meal. If it was tasty, I wouldn't have had time to eat it if I was interested in playing bingo. The whole thing was expensive and bad. I will...
