I had an extremely upsetting experience at this Booster Juice location that I feel compelled to share. I placed my usual order â a Ripped Berry with pineapple and extra honey â but when I finally had a chance to taste it, it was completely off. I returned to the store expecting a reasonable resolution: a remake or a refund.
Instead, I was met with resistance and a dismissive attitude from a staff member named Anna Lee. She refused to address the issue, denied my experience, and became hostile when I asked questions. When I expressed frustration at the poor service, she escalated the situation further rather than trying to de-escalate it or listen.
While another staff member tried to offer a solution, Anna Lee intervened and shut it down. I requested to speak to the manager, who arrived and responded with defensiveness and condescension. Rather than apologize or seek a resolution, he downplayed the issue and dismissed my concerns by saying theyâve had âonly two complaints in five years.â
Eventually, I received a refund, but it came with more hostility. I was shouted at and told not to return. My partner and I, both Black women, were spoken to with a level of disrespect that felt racially charged. An older couple, who were not involved, even joined in, yelling at us to leave. The entire situation left us feeling deeply disrespected and unwelcome.
This wasnât just bad customer service â it reflected a broader issue of how people of color are sometimes treated in public spaces. My hope is that this review encourages the company to provide better training on conflict resolution and inclusive service.
Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity, especially when calmly raising a concern about a product...
Read moreFor the past two years, Booster Juice has been a regular stop for me and my two young kids. Every visit, we'd order the same drink, a regular Mango Hurricane, and kindly ask for it to be split into two small cups so my children could share. Staff had always done this without hesitation. It was a small but thoughtful gesture that made Booster Juice feel like a family-friendly spot we could count on.
But during our latest visit, the owner was working, and things felt different. She told me Iâd now be charged an extra $1 just to have the smoothie poured into two cups. Same drink, same portion, nothing more just a parent trying to share one order between two little ones.
This wasnât about the dollar. It was about the principle. The owner had full control and every opportunity to show grace, to make a small gesture that said, âWe support families.â Instead, she chose to be petty and penny-pinching over a plastic cup. It felt like a quiet message that profits mattered more than people.
So I walked out. Not angrily, just with a heavy heart. After years of support, I canât justify returning. When a business loses sight of the small kindnesses that builds loyalty and trust, especially with young families, it says a lot. And unfortunately, it said enough for me to take my...
