Double Taste Shawarma — Restaurant in Kitchener

THIS PLACE IS PURE BUSINESS!!!

I have been a long term customer I went to their Kitchener locations and Cambridge one too but all I can say is they are gettting very very cheap especially the Kitchener locations because it’s the same owner and she’s very cheap.… they use to be very good now they give u a XL poutine like it’s a medium they don’t care about customer service or quality I have realized they just care about is making money. They have over charged me multiple times and when I ask them they say the price went up.. I don’t get if it’s just this place that increases their price every 3months.. I would give NO STARS if Google would let me because they don’t deserve any.

If you order a plate they will barely put any rice or shawarma and they put a lot of lettuce to make it look like it’s a lot of salad but it’s not..they only put a few pieces of cucumbers and tomatoes and that’s it the rest is all lettuce. Their Cambridge location is the only one to go to. The Kitchener wants are not good because they are owned by the same lady.

Whoever goes here is just wasting their money they don’t care about customer satisfaction. I’m not surprised the amount of bad reviews they have. They ones that are good is their employees and owners relatives. Everyone post all you experiences they place will eventually go out of BUSINESS…. They just need one competitor to come near them they...

Good location in the Pioneer park area. The signage could be a bit larger, but found it since I had been anticipating its opening. Have been a few times now, but not thrilled. Prices are on the lower end for plates, but you also don't get much with it. Most places will load plates with hummus, pickles, sauces, salads, .etc, but nothing too special here, just some sauce on top. Tried the hummus, but it was very bland tasting, will not be requesting it again. The rice is on the salty side which makes it hard to finish. Chicken is dried out. Falafels look like some frozen ones I've bought from the supermarket before. Will be making the longer trek to better shawarmas next time. Sad the one closest to me is one I like the least. The staff here seriously need to work on basic customer service etiquette. There were no greetings, no acknowledgment, just short, cold responses like calling out “chicken” or “tomato” with no effort to engage politely. It feels like you’re being rushed through instead of being served properly. As for the food, the chicken portion was very minimal, just a thin layer that doesn’t justify the price. Overall, the experience was disappointing both in service and value. Not planning to come back unless things improve. I’ve been to this location a few times, and I’ve noticed a pattern — I consistently receive less chicken on the rice compared to others.
