Terrible service, just ok food, unreasonable individual.options only, and OVERPRICED.
What a circus this place is. Behind the fancy looking, their staff is completely clueless of what's going on in the kitchen and show zero team work or attempt to handle dine-in, take out clients and delivery drivers at the same time.
My excitement to try this new place was killed right away. 6:15 pm: I wanted a 2 protein + rice or roti order to go, the only waitress was on her own cellphone and didn't care there were 3 people lining up. Men coming out of the kitchen were bringing orders out, not knowing who they belong too. 6:22 pm: she added my order to the system as separate plates, pretty much 65 dollars I refused to order and reduced it just to butter chicken and roti. Still a separate order, $17 for the chicken and $ 4 for roti. I've never seen an Indian style place not offering sides as part of a main dish. Stupid me, I paid for this order. Was told to come back in 20 min. 6:45 pm: same circus, my order was not even being made. The same waitress with a tragic face asked me to wait 15 more minutes. I sat in one of their fancy white chair at the entrance and waited. 7:00 pm: Asked again for my order, not surprised to be asked for 5 more minutes. 7:05 pm: one of the men coming out of the kitchen saw me waiting with receipt on hand, took a look at it and my order was RIGHT THERE ON THE COUNTER READY FOR ME.
50 minutes and $ 24 dollars later I finally left this place. The container with butter chicken had no more than TEN pieces of chicken (small and big) swimming in LOTS of sauce. Roti is normally thin but this one was almost transparent. NOT WORTH the wait, the useless service and overall experience.
Cherry on top: Management don't give a crap about reviews. Check their replies and all they do is COPY + PASTE the same stupid reply for months, really??????. Is this the best their manager can do?? No wonder they are epically pissing clients off!!!
"We're sorry to see that you were not satisfied with your experience. As a newly open restaurant, we're constantly working to improve, and hope you'll give us another chance to serve you better next time"
If you wanna wait at least 1 hour to get your half-size overpriced food and have no one care about + get ripped off, this is definitely the place to...
Read moreWe had an extremely disappointing and painful experience at Rangoli. The food was excessively spicy to the point that it was inedible. We couldn’t even eat it at the restaurant and decided to take it home, hoping we could manage later. Unfortunately, it led to severe stomachaches for both of us, and my partner ended up vomiting. We had to throw the rest of the food away — and we hate food wastage.
We spent $72 only to get sick, waste food, and regret ever stepping into this place.
To make things worse, we had clearly communicated specific instructions to the waitress:
We wanted Tandoori Chicken served first as a starter We asked for gravy Manchurian to be served later with butter naan as the main course Instead, they brought out the dry Manchurian first, and when we asked the waitress, she admitted that she did tell the chef everything correctly, but the kitchen just started making items randomly. That’s beyond unprofessional.
I honestly don’t know how this restaurant is going to survive with service like this and food that causes people to fall sick. We will never return and cannot recommend it to anyone.
!!!!!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!!!! (April 15th, 2025) It’s laughable how this restaurant replies to negative reviews pretending to care and asking customers to reach out via email — but when the email is actually sent, they completely ignore it. An email was sent on April 9th, and there has been no response whatsoever — no acknowledgment, no follow-up, nothing.
This makes it clear that the responses under reviews are just for appearances, to make it look like the business values customer feedback. In reality, it doesn’t. Don’t be fooled by the fake professionalism — it’s all for show. This is not how a responsible...
Read moreAs a regular customer who visits Rangoli at least once a week and usually spends a minimum of $25, today was a disaster and a complete letdown. I spent around $52 expecting a good dinner, but what I got was frustration on a plate.
Let’s start with the Hyderabadi Chicken Dum Biryani – an utter failure. The rice was soggy, tasted nowhere close to dum biryani, and to top it off, they used frozen crispy onions instead of fresh ones. Who does that for a dish that’s supposed to be rich and authentic? The chicken? Horrible. Tasted like plain boiled meat – watery and bland with no masala or flavor. It honestly felt like they just dumped a boiled chicken into some colored rice and called it biryani.
They served a so-called "side dish" (God knows what it was), and let me tell you – it's the worst thing I’ve tasted since moving to Canada from my homeland. I couldn’t eat even a spoonful. Everything except the mandi was trash. The alafam mandi was decent, but that’s the only saving grace.
Here’s the kicker – the server saw my plate untouched, clearly noticed that most of the food was left behind, and didn’t bother to ask why. She simply handed over the bill and walked off like nothing happened. That kind of customer service is just as disappointing as the food.
Today, I felt disrespected, disappointed, and betrayed. This place used to be a go-to spot for me, but after today, I’m done. Never going back, and definitely looking for better alternatives that actually value their food and...
