I was initially drawn to Chick Bites in Kitchener due to its promising menu and vibrant ambiance. On my first visit, I tried the Aloo Tikki Burger and the Paneer Burger, and I was instantly transported back to the flavors of India. Both items were packed with authentic spices, fresh ingredients, and a homely charm that truly stood out.
However, subsequent visits have left me slightly disappointed. While the taste remains decent, there has been a noticeable dip in the quality and quantity of the ingredients. The portions have become smaller, and the once-bold flavors seem a little muted. It's disheartening to see this decline, as the first impression was exceptional.
On the positive side, the service remains warm and efficient, and the place is clean and inviting, making it a pleasant spot to enjoy a quick meal or snack. Another highlight is the variety of drinks available, including Indian Chai and Bubba Tea, which add a unique touch to the experience.
Overall, Chick Bites has great potential, and I hope they can return to the high standards they initially set. With consistent quality and portion sizes, it could become a go-to spot for Indian-inspired fast food in the...
Read moreI came here with my friend the second time as our first visit was fantastic with they meeting our food expectations.
My second visit, Me and my friend were planning to try other food items which looked appetizing on . As soon we started ordering the counter attendant was clueless, as I asked her about one dish which is made regionally, she didn't analyze on what I was saying and said that she was from punjab, I asked her is the food made regionally specific or is it prepared the other way, she then went inside. Also when it came to the payment the attendant didn't know on how to split the bill and put everything on one bill. So we guided her to bill us individually.
Later the first order came in and the tea was way to sweet as my friend has a sugar problem. The first attendant didn't acknowledge about the sweetness. Later we explained her and she then replaced us with new tea which was fine.
Now it's been 25 mins that my samosa was not made, I was waiting and approached to her for my food, Where in as a customer we expect the food to come to us.
Overall very pathetic experience, please train your staff, on what hospitality and...
Read moreI’d previously left a 2 star review noting some glaring issues, and was reassured these would be fixed relatively soon. I came back to give them another shot and suffice to say: there’s been a ton of improvement and they absolutely listened. The boba was a good texture, it wasn’t boiling hot inside the store, they have some music playing, they allow you to customize your wrap, the boba is mixed properly and they seem to have more staff now; ideally 3 staff in the kitchen would be optimal (it’s 2 now) assuming it’s in their budget (one for taking orders, one for order prep and one for boba) but still nice to see. The new guy was super sweet lol. As my previous review stated: the fries are super nice and crispy, the flavour on the chicken and sauces is fantastic and the wraps are okay. Only reason it’s not a 5* for me is it’s still a bit light on the chicken:fries ratio (still damn good) and the boba isn’t anything special it’s just a flavour powder, but it’s good. The samosa is not bad but lacking a little. I’m definitely going...
