We came here a year ago, and we wanted to come again due to having great food the last time. When we went the first time, the place was owned by a cute elderly Korean couple. Since then they seem to have retired and it looks like ownership has changed. The tables have been renovated. The good news is that the food is still excellent. We enjoyed the two of the three sides dishes: kimchi and bean sprouts. However the pickled radish was purple. This was not as appetizing due to how artificial the colour looked. The delicious spicy pork bone soup was served with rice, and there was plenty of pork bone offered in the soup. We also ordered the braised bomb egg which had a clean taste, and it was still boiling in the stone bowl for some time. Overall, we still recommend the Korean BBQ Restaurant. We didn’t eat too much this day as we were full from the afternoon, but the prices were very reasonable and ended up paying around $33 for two. We will definitely check out other dishes on the menu sometime!

I dined here on a Sunday night with a party of 10. The space is pretty small, but luckily we called ahead and they were able to accommodate us. I ordered the black bean noodles and tofu stew. Tofu stew was 4/5. Came out piping hot. Delicious broth, but sadly there was scarcely any seafood in the soup itself. Black bean noodles were a 2/5. They were flavourless and bland. I did not enjoy them. The real issue was the service 0/5. We kept asking for refills on the banchans and the server would just wave at our table to show they heard our request, but after delivering our ordered dishes they never returned to our tables. They even responded with an “okayyy! It’s coming” in a really irritated tone when we tried to check up on the ask. We never received refills on the banchans. After we requested multiple times, we gave up and just finished our meal. I’m surprised this place has such high reviews. The food was just ok, but the service was just plain bad.

💎This is a hole in the wall. I’ve taken many friends to this secret gem for over 10 years. The owners are still the same sweet old couple, and the food is delicious!! They’re a small mom and pop shop and you self-serve your own drinks and tea but what I really go here for is the Combo A for 2 people. You get 4 side dishes, 3 mains and 2 rice, it is ALOT of food for two, but worth it for $34.99. When I go with more friends I usually just get two of the combo A and get 6 mains. You have to get the Gamjatang, it is SO good! Sometimes my friend and I get 2 gamjatang and another main to share. They also have it in the individual small size for $12.99 or a LARGE (which is really big btw) size for $15.99.

I need to make an exception regarding the food, which was actually good when served, but the overall customer service was completely unacceptable. As soon as we arrived (party of five), the young lady serving us was already reluctant to help, saying there wasn’t enough space for all of us—even though all she needed to do was offer an extra seat at the table, which we would have been fine with. We had to point it out to her; otherwise, believe it or not, she would have been fine letting five paying customers leave. We got the impression that it was because we arrived just half an hour before closing, and they considered us an inconvenience or extra work. The place is small, and all tables were busy, but it would have been easy to work it out. When some customers left a bigger table, we asked the server if we could move there for more comfort. She started stacking the dirty dishes from that table but stopped halfway and just left, completely forgetting about us. Seeing that she didn’t return to continue clearing the tables, my dad actually had to get up and do it himself, picking up dirty plates and moving them to another table. I got a little frustrated and noticed this inattentive lady—who was just cleaning cutlery behind the cashier (probably a family business, which is the only reason I can think of for why she could care less about customers)—so I asked her to at least clean the table so we could move. Finally, the food arrived, but not only did it arrive at different times for everyone, one of our orders was wrong, and we had to wait extra minutes for it. Overall, it was a very poor customer service experience; neither I nor anyone in my party felt valued at all and personally, would...

I came here today with one of my colleagues, the service was super slow and the menu didn’t really apeal to my friend, so they left to get pizza. When I was ready to order the old man came around all happy, when I ordered and advised him that my colleague didn’t want anything his facial expression changed, his face started to look droopy and red, he than yanked the menu from my hand. At this point I didn’t mind, I was hungry and waiting for my “sashimi bibimbap” . As I waited, i was not offered any water or tea (as the people around me had) instead all I see is the man taking out two slabs of frozen fish and slicing it with a glove, I thought nothing of it untill my meal was at my table. THE FISH WAS FROZEN SOLID. the fish was fully frozen solid..... I was so upset that they just served me this......to make matters worse the service was terrible too. I left without leaving a tip. I will not return due to poor service and bad quality of food. I used to go to “shimla garden” another Korean restaurant close by, their food was amazing and the service was amazing! They have...
