If I’m going to write the occasional review, I prefer to focus on rewarding businesses with positive ones due to their commendable customer service and quality of products… However, every now and again I feel a social obligation to give the people a heads up on businesses I think they may want to avoid.

I came into the Yeti Cafe today and asked about what kind of breakfast options they had, I was addressed by someone with the most neutral presence and with no smile or appealing energy.

They handed me a menu and told me I could come back up to the counter after made my selection. It’s crazy because this pace is literally the smallest cafe I have ever been to, and apparently they can’t even come to your table to take your order, anyways I reluctantly returned to the counter and ordered “the Beckie”.

I was actually asked to settle up right away at the counter before I even received my food which seemed strange to me.

When I sat down, the table was dirty and clearly hadn’t been wiped clean since the last customer.

Anyways, it came to $25.71 after tax, no tip included, and I believe it may have been the worst $25 I have ever spent on a breakfast as per the pics. For that price you think they could at least give you a third egg and bit more meat.

When I asked how much it was for an extra egg, they said $3.00 for 2 eggs; so not only are they charging a $1.50/ egg but apparently force you to buy two lol.

I definitely don’t recommend this place if you want any type of decent customer service, a clean table, or your food to be of decent value...

Hipster style cafe, service was quite slow as there was only one cashier who also was the barista. If you have time, this isnt a problem but not great if you are in a rush. We were okay with this as we had time to kill but for reference I probably was waiting in line to order for between 5 to 10 minutes with only 1 persom ahead of me. Took a while for the cashier/barista to even acknowledge we were there. Tables didnt seem to get cleaned too often, our table was dirty with some egg yolk, had to wipe myself. It wasnt crazy busy either, just again due to having only 1 person to do the running.

Nice thing is you can seat yourself first so while you wait to order, the rest of the group can sit.

Food wise we ordered the Cowgirl and the Doug. Both sandwiches were quite good, and moderately priced. We would get this again. I enjoyed the sweet mustard on the Doug. We also ordered the cumin hashbrown... definitely skip this. Not worth the 7 bucks. First off they arent what you think of when you think hashbrown... its more like homefries. No cumin or chili flavor. Just tasted like plain roasted potatoes you throw in the oven. Not bad but again youre paying 7 dollars for a small portion of potatoes. Just make it at home.

We ordered the decaf lavender ice latte. It was probably the best thing here. Hipster places know how to make coffee, that holds true here. Not too sweet, good flavor profile for us.

Overall, would come back and try other drinks...

I am absolutely thrilled to write this glowing review for YETI Cafe in Kitchener! My husband and I had an incredible brunch date at this amazing spot, and we were blown away by the exceptional food, friendly service, and stunning atmosphere.

First and foremost, the Sasquatch and Pregnant Sasquatch dishes were out of this world! The flavours were so fresh and bold and made with love.

But it wasn't just the food that impressed us. YETI Cafe has such a warm and welcoming vibe, with a charming cottage-inspired decor that truly sets it apart. From the cozy seating to the creative idea of having mismatched mugs and plates, it added such a charming, unique and cozy touch we felt right at home from the moment we walked in.

One of the things that really stood out to us was the inclusivity and positivity that radiates from this cafe. It's clear that the owners have created a space that is not only delicious but also incredibly welcoming and accepting.

Overall, we had an absolutely wonderful time at YETI Cafe and would recommend it to anyone looking for an incredible brunch spot in Kitchener, Ontario. The food, atmosphere, and energy are simply unbeatable. Trust me, you won't be...
