So my fiancé and I came here to eat tonight and I had pho number 22 and he ordered number 88. The waitress came back and had told us that it was late and that they were only serving number 1-71 on the menu. Okay, that’s fine. So he ordered the same thing as me but in a medium size. It came out and I noticed a hair in his bowl of pho... I had mentioned it to the waitress she was very apologetic brought it back to the kitchen and “suppositivly” made a new bowl. How in the world do you make a new bowl of pho so fast?? I’m Vietnamese and my dad makes pho all the time and to prepare a new bowl would take at least 5 mins not 5 seconds. Anyway she brought it back out and we both looked at each other and I had told him not to eat it because it seems like it’s the same bowl and that she just picked the hair out and gave us the same bowl again. I called her over again and had asked politely if they can make him a new bowl. She said that this was the new bowl and I had asked how is it possible that you guys made a new bowl so fast? She replied the other customer had ordered the same thing as you so we gave you guys their order it’s okay they can wait for a new bowl. Something in my gut told me she was lying so I told her we don’t want his bowl so you can take it back. Long story short, when we were cashing out I had peeked over to see what the other table had ordered to see if she was telling the truth and it turns out that they had ordered something completely different. So the waitress lied!! Next time when a customer ask you guys to make a new bowl maybe you should, just because you didn’t you lost us as a customer over something so small. What’s another bowl of pho for you guys? Or maybe you guys should be wearing hair nets? Anyway You guys lost us...
Read moreI recently had the opportunity to dine at this restaurant and I must say it was quite a disappointing experience. My friends and I came in to reserve a spot for six people, but when we returned, they had given our table away to other guests, leaving us waiting for an additional ten minutes. The staff didn't seem very accommodating either, as they appeared impatient when we asked them about the menu.
To make matters worse, the waiting time for our food was incredibly long, stretching beyond 50 minutes. It was frustrating, especially when we were feeling hungry and eager to try their dishes.
Overall, the slow service and the rudeness of the staff left a negative impression on me. In the end, we regretted not trying Pho Dau Bo, which is just next door and comes highly recommended by others for its delicious Vietnamese cuisine. Perhaps, next time, we'll opt for the neighboring restaurant to avoid any similar disappointing experiences.
Despite the disappointing service and rude staff, the only reason we decided to give this Vietnamese restaurant a try was because we had heard that their food was decent. We were hoping that the positive reviews about their dishes would outweigh the negatives in the overall dining experience. However, the slow service and impatience of the staff did put a damper on our visit. Next time, we might still consider their food, but we'll likely order takeout to avoid any...
Read moreThe food was not bad. Fried rolls were greasy but tasty, pho broth wasn't bad- lots of noodles with small amount of meat. Spring rolls were good and the rice with chicken and pork chops was very delicious. I actually recommend the rice over the pho. I ordered the cassava cakea for take out- I was told that you have wait on weekdays for it because they only have them ready made on weekends the last time I was there- not indicated on their sign for it. So I asked for 2 cakes and said I would like them when I am done my meal. My drinks came out at the end of my meal. I go to pay and am told if I pay cash for the cakes there is no tax. I pay and they say okay see you Saturday. When I tell her I was expecting the cakes now she was confused and said no only Saturday or come back in an hour and they will be made. I said forget it. As I was getting ready to leave the server called out the kitchen staff and began to insult me to them in Vietnamese- yup, I'm viet and I understand. I called them all out for being rude. Told them if they misunderstood my order they should clarify. It wasnt like I cursed at them when told the cakes weren't ready. I just told them they should have clairfied. I left and honestly dont ever...
