MyBURGER — Restaurant in Kitchener

I’ve gone to this place twice and I am so amazed by it! Other than the fact that it’s very small, it is sometimes busy. I’ve waited for a table, but it was so worth it! Other times it’s not busy and you can sit wherever you want! The food is so good and the service is so good and the owner/cook is super friendly and brings the food to you and you don’t pay until the end which I find nice. :) Everything is made fresh and it’s always hot and I’m very picky about gravy, but it is very good gravy! First time I had a burger and it was so good and second time I had the chicken fingers and there was quite a lot of them and they were so good not dry. It’s just like perfectly made, and fries perfectly made.! I recommend 100% I’d say nine out of 9/10 or 10/10! And such great prices it's a steal! Do not underestimate this unassuming mom and pop shop. The store owner was cordial and friendly as he greeted me. I had fish and chips (poutine) based off a review here that said the fish was fresh and crispy.

Initially I had mixed impressions. The fish was just alright, it was slightly dry and over-fried, more crunchy than crispy. And the cutlery honestly didn't seem that clean.

But that impression all changed once I tasted the poutine. My god was it good. The fries were so flavorful, the cheese curds tasted so fresh, and I love that he added a hint of shredded cheese. We aren't even talking about fast food anymore, this is restaurant quality poutine. Overall it was a very authentic poutine experience, and honestly one of the best tasting poutine I've had in a long while. I don't care if the fish was meh, that poutine alone was worth it. I went for breakfast, 9:00 am. Was not open. When we approached the cafe, the owner was waiting for son to open convenience store two to three doors down. Son never came. He told us to come back in minutes. We shopped and came back. He was dodging between the convenience store and Myburger. I ordered a steak medium rare and sunny side eggs and my brother ordered 2 eggs sunny side, sausage (burnt) with the works plus a drink. My steak (minute steak) the owner told me it was a ribeye. (not) it was tough, overcooked and not edible. He states on his menu that it is homefries, it is not, it is fresh cut french fries potatoes. The drink was not covered in the special, but charged us $1.50 for a small milk the same price as a cup of coffee. I will not recommend this establishment to anyone. He is not genuine, and very combative when questioned on his menu. Waste of time and money. So...
