Roberts Street Pizza — Restaurant in Ladysmith

Delicious discovery. This is hands down the best pizza on Vancouver Island. We try and drive up island to Ladysmith at least once a month for their pizza. Always give the special of the month a try. We order two pizza to take home, a special and a bacon double cheese burger, but that one really does need pickles but that's a person preference. As you pull up the place looks like a family home with a quirky fun design and loads to look at in the garden. Enter through the metal gate to the side and step into the amazing aromas of pizza cooking. Place your order and take a wander around the garden area, sit and relax and take in the atmosphere. Back to the pizza, the crust has flavour and crunch. The toppings are plentiful and well balanced. Cooked to perfection. Staff I think they are the best. Friendly and very willing to point you in the direction of a park to sit and enjoy pizza with a view of the ocean. If you need directions they are willing to help. We ordered there a few times and pizza was great, delivery time usually an hour. But the last time, pizza was soggy. We thought we would give them another chance as it may have been an off day. We waited over an hour, still no delivery, so I decided to call. They could not find my order. I was on the phone for 5 min while they tried to find it. When I first ordered, it was so noisy, I had to ask the call taker if she got it. She was ready to hang up and I asked her if she knew where to deliver it, as I hadn't given her my name or address. She said, oh yah, got it. I figured she got my address from my phone number on call display and they had it in their system as I ordered from there numerous times before. Nope. She didn't get my order. Way too much noise in the background when I placed my order. I was so not impressed. Needless to say I won't be ordering from them again. Hands Down the Best Pizza of My Life – Hidden Gem in Ladysmith!

If you're anywhere near Ladysmith, do yourself a favor and get the pizza. I’m not exaggerating when I say this was the best pizza I’ve ever had in my entire life — and I’ve eaten pizza everywhere from New York to Naples. Nothing comes close.

The crust? Perfectly crisp on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside — it tasted like it was made by someone who’s been hand-crafting dough for centuries. The sauce was rich, flavorful, and just the right balance of tangy and sweet. And the toppings? Fresh, generous, and thoughtfully layered like a work of art. You could tell every ingredient had a purpose.

I still think about this pizza. Like, in the middle of the day. Like it’s an ex I’m not over.
