I had tried to place an order through the app, but for some reason the payment portal wouldn’t open so I decided just to go into the store and order it the old-fashioned way. There were two employees working, a male and a female . I said hello and mentioned that I had tried to order through the app, but the Pay portal would not open, and the female employee instantly said that orders are coming in just fine on her end so I just said I wanted to let her know since I usually order that way and I’ve never had a problem before. She basically cut me off and bluntly asked what I wanted to order so I said the first sub would be on Italian herb bread and the second one would be just regular Italian bread … she seemed to be in a rush, although there was nobody else in line so I started reading the first order that I had taken screenshots from the order I was trying to place in the app to make sure that I got each order correct ( I have a severe food allergy and my order cannot be cross contaminated with the other order) .. at this point her male coworker had started cutting the bread, but she pulled the knife out of his hand, quite aggressively and told him he was doing it wrong and showed him how he “should be doing it” which was exactly the way he was already doing it ! He looks really embarrassed, and I felt bad for him and this created an even more awkward environment for all of us. She asked what I wanted on the first sub so I started reading item by item and then she asked what I wanted on the second sub before I was finished telling her what I wanted on the first sub so I asked if I could please finish ordering the first sub so that things don’t get mixed up and she seemed very frustrated by that as well. The second sub I had asked to be toasted and grilled, but it was only toasted and when I mentioned that I had asked for it to be grilled as well she became even more frustrated. Once the orders were complete, she punched them in and I asked where I enter my phone number to get my points and she was not happy that she had to clear the cash register so I could login my phone number. While I was putting my phone number in she forcefully shoved both subs into one bag and I asked her if I could have them in separate bags please. This is when she told me she marked them and this is when I started to get frustrated and I told her that I didn’t ask if she marked them. I asked a second time for them to be in separate bags please ..I didn’t think I needed to explain that one was hot and one was cold or tell her that I had an allergy.. I should’ve been able to just have two separate bags because that’s what I’m requesting, but apparently that wasn’t good enough for her since she was still refusing to give me a second bag … I told her they were going to separate places and I needed separate bags, please so she said, “how am I supposed to know that they’re going to separate places you didn’t tell me that !” and she finally put one in another bag. I asked her which one was which and she again said that she marked one, but I explained that I don’t want to have to open the bags to check and see what’s marked on the inside since I have a food allergy, and she aggressively wrote a letter on the outside of each bag and shoved the bags at me. Needless to say her behaviour towards myself and her coworker was completely unacceptable and being rude is never a good option.. I was very disappointed with the service I received. I will not be going back to that location and I really do hope that some education is put in place so that this particular employee does not continue to belittle her coworkers especially in front of customers or treat her customers so disrespectfully in the future. The subs were both flat as pancakes from her, smashing them about and they were nowhere near the size, fullness or quality they should’ve been in comparison to other Subway...
Read moreWent there a few days ago and was appalled by the service the workers were rude and acted confused the entire time. I usually don’t write reviews but the owners of this subway clearly need to know so they can get their act together.
It was a woman and man working. They acted like it was both of theirs first shift neither knew how to do simple tasks like cutting the bread or where anything was it is clear that they had received no training or maybe they were just dumb. Furthermore I ordered something not knowing they had a new menu and instead of correcting me the woman just stared at me for over a minute until I said “is something wrong?” And she finally told me very rudely they no longer had that she also kept trying to up charge me going “more cheese? Extra cheese?” Even after I said no.
All of this would’ve been fine if at least the food was good but it was foul and we ended up going to Tim Hortons to get something else for dinner. I got the big veggie and the veggie patty inside was still frozen it was disgusting. The person I was with got a rice bowl and I’m not being dramatic when I say it wasn’t even half way filled not even a fourth it was nothing like the pictures of the bowls you see on the menu it looked as if it’d leave a toddler hungry there was so little food. The man making it clearly didn’t speak English (not that there’s anything wrong with that) and had no idea what she was asking for so he kept just adding random things and barely added any of each.
Finally an observation I made as someone who worked in the food industry it was clear they were adding less (like a single peice ) of certain things they were almost out of to avoid doing any actual work such as restocking absolutely horrible,rude...
Read moreAbsolutely awful experience. This is the second time my husband and I have been to this location. We live about an hour away from Grand Bend and when we come and visit Grand Bend we've always had such a positive experience. After exploring the pinery we wanted to stop and grab something from subway. We walked in and there was no one in the store until 5 mins later a girl peeks her head around the corner and tells my husband and I it's going to be a 10 minute wait because she has to cut and prepare meat. There was only one staff member working, on my receipt it says we were served by '7'. Her physical appearance looked dishevelled. Her hair was all over the place, she was not wearing a hair net. I had asked for a Canuck classic and my husband got a teriyaki crunch. Whilst she was preparing our subs she just threw everything on the sub, didn't take her time to prepare it properly, resulting in our meats and cheese congealed in the corner of the sub. She threw our veggies on, again, not taking the time to prepare properly and loaded both of our subs with a hefty amount of sauces (which is not what we wanted). She mumbled something under her breath and I had asked 'what did you say'? And she just said 'oh, I'm not rushing you, there's just a lineup now and it's close to closing' which came off as she was complaining and we did feel rushed. My sub was almost inedible. Worst subway experience of my life and the girl that served us shouldn't be working there as she clearly does not know what...
