Decided to order pizza yesterday night, worst mistake I could've made. I get that it's Friday, and it was also Valentine's day, so waiting for items is fine, it's busy.
I ordered the pizza online, was told approx time is 40 mins away. Cool, I wait the 40 mins, head to Boston Pizza and arrive after the estimated pickup time, and there's 10-15 people (mixture of skip drivers and customers) waiting in the lobby. The hostess' and the manager there are scrambling around helping, they were nice. They eventually get to me, and I them my name, one of the hostess' goes back and checks, and comes out to say "one item from the order is ready, they're just waiting a couple mins on the other one". Not a problem at all, sounds totally normal & reasonable. Until 15 minutes goes by and no one has even acknowledged me again. By now I know the order is ready, and the item that was ready is gonna be cold as ice. Already annoyed, I walked up to remind them I was still waiting, to which the hostess finally went back and surprise surprise, my order has been ready for a while and is now very cold. I'm holding a pizza box, from the bottom, of a supposedly fresh item I've ordered, and it's cold to the touch. I'm not one to open the box and inspect right then and there so I go home, annoyed the whole way knowing it's not gonna be nearly as good as it should be. $70 for 2 pizzas, one of which is 20 mins old by now.
I get home and open the pizza box to discover maybe some of the reason why the kitchen is so slow and they're so backed up. They're shaping the pizzas like hearts...not mentioned anywhere nor was it asked for. It ended up making the pizza cook unevenly, burnt on half of it (I love burnt carbs, I'm weird so no complaints about that but that would ruin it for many people), and was very likely not as much pizza as the one I'd ordered. The other item I ordered was one of the "squarefooters" pizzas that's half bandera bread, and I was so disappointed in the cold, heart shaped miserable first pizza it took a TRIPLE take of looking at the 2nd item to realize...it's not even a square. I paid $35 for a small pizza which was half bandera bread instead of the square foot of pizza I was supposed to get.
Just pathetic and awful all around from Boston Pizza. I'm not someone who posts bad reviews, it takes a lot to ruin a meal for me, but good lord, do better than this BP. I'll be back, but with this experience it may be a while before...
Read moreI usually love Boston Pizza and have great service, however, last night we took my daughter for her grade 5 graduation dinner and holy the service was absolutely horrendous.. well just our server was. Her attitude was if she didn't want to be there and when my brother asked her what types of dipping sauces they have for his fries all she could give us was... I don't know ...shrugs shoulders, Caesar ? we don't really have anything fancy... meanwhile she could have offered the Sriracha mayo or even some gravy as an option....we got no Cutlery the entire time... when she brought us our mini plates she slammed them on the table... and walked away. drinks took forever... when we got our drinks about 5 to 10 minutes went by and my daughter never got her lemonade ...we had to ask for it, food was sub par if that...it wasn't even really that good, barely any sauce on the pizzas and the spaghetti ...everything was basically flavorless ...my brother said his ribs were disgusting. I'm surprised because the food is usually very excellent, especially the pizza.. but this time it was not . When we also got our food our server asked us if we needed anything else, which was cutlery...then she literally asked us how many we needed... so we counted the amount of people at our table and told her.. she never split the bill the way we told her to split the bill when it came to paying.. and we even told her how many to go boxes we needed .... then she proceeded to count how many boxes we needed..... almost mimicking my brother with the cutlery but pointing at plates . the other lady that helped us in between was phenomenal, very polite, Smiley Etc . This girl literally did a half a$$ job, if that. It was awful, and I'm usually not one to write reviews or even complain for that matter. I'm surprised she even works there. We were still pretty generous with our tips but if this restaurant has low tips coming in, which is shared between the rest of the staff ...she's the reason why. I wish I could give the...
Read moreWould give zero stars if possible. We ordered a pasta and 2 quesadillas. I ordered a 30$ pasta and the Alfredo was absolutely disgusting, it tasted like it was from a jar and even worse from an expired jar. I had two bites and I couldn't eat anymore. I tried to give it to my husband who will literally eat anything and he was just as disgusted by it as I was. I also upgraded my toast to cheese toast for $4.59 but the toast arrived with no cheese. My husband ordered two quesadillas, they were edible but cold. Each quesadilla is supposed to come with one sour cream each and one salsa each but we were only provided with one sour cream and one salsa for both orders. That was especially disappointing because the only item out of the order that was edible was missing the condiments that are necessary to go with them. I can say with certainly this was absolute the worst meal I have had in my entire life. NEVER have I had a meal that was so disgusting that I couldn't eat any of it or my husband, the man who will eat literally everything had one penne noodle and refused to eat anymore of it. The entire pasta went straight into the garbage. The only thing I was able to eat was the garlic toast and again I paid $4.59 to add cheese but was sent garlic toast with no cheese. I NEVER leave reviews but this was just too...
