I recently dined at Brown Social House and wanted to share my experience. Overall, my visit had its ups and downs, with some aspects of the meal being enjoyable while others fell short of expectations.
Let's start with the positives. The steak frites that I ordered were delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection, tender, and full of flavor. The accompanying fries were crispy and seasoned just right. I thoroughly enjoyed this dish and would highly recommend it to steak lovers.
However, my friend’s experience with the chicken dish was disappointing. The chicken was excessively salty, making it difficult to savor the flavors. When we brought this to the attention of our attentive waitress, she was quick to respond and offered to replace the chicken breast with a grilled alternative.
Regrettably, the replacement chicken breast had a bitter taste, which was equally unappetizing. At that point, we decided to abandon the chicken dish, brought it home and see how we can make it edible. It was unfortunate that the second attempt to rectify the issue did not yield a satisfactory outcome.
One area that could use improvement is the attention given to the grill. It seems there was an issue with burnt substances on the grill, which affected the taste of the chicken. It would be beneficial for the restaurant to pay closer attention to this aspect of their cooking process to ensure consistent quality across all dishes.
Despite the issues with the chicken dish and the grill, the overall experience at Brown Social House was decent. The attentive service provided by our waitress was commendable, and the steak frites were a standout. However, the inconsistent quality of the chicken dish and the presence of burnt substances on the grill detracted from the overall dining experience.
I hope that Brown Social House takes this feedback constructively and addresses the areas that need improvement. With some adjustments, the restaurant has the potential to provide consistently excellent meals to...
Read moreAlright! A night of total disastrous experience, the one that I can’t forget. Made a reservation 30’ prior to coming in and as we walked in group of 8 people, very politely asked for a glass of water as one of our friends in the group wasn’t feeling okay. Explained my rationale why i meed the water and also explained we would be dining in, host very rudely denied the request.
Then, at the same place as we were checking in, I explained that i lost my ids and offered to show the e-copy and my vaccine QR code. Manager came and very rudely denied us saying we would only be allowed with a physical ID. I offered to show more than one electronic ID, again got refused to come in. Now, please explain me how this restaurant would help a client who has lost his/her ID and wants to come in and dine. On a very serious/emotional note, it was a friends birthday that was ruined by a host and her manager who behaved arrogantly and the situation that could have been fixed at that point, made it an experience hard to digest.
I feel humiliated with the experience I was provided. Living on the island for last five years and have never come across this kind of customer service. It was 10 o’clock on Saturday (October 9th 2021). I don’t know how would the management address this, if you need detailed information, please contact me as i’m very disappointed with the service i was provided even after I had the reservation that ruined the night for the birthday...

The service was really good and had a fun atmosphere. One thing of note is the menu doesn't exactly isn't exactly accurate. My husband ordered the Hickery Burger cause it was the only burger with no special sauce (it had barbeque sauce), however the burger came with special sauce which he had to scrap off. When he asked a other server why there is special sauce on the burger when it's not on the menu, the server answered that all the burgers had special sauce. We checked the menu again, yet it only had barbeque sauce. Our server was polite and asked if he wanted to get a new burger but he just decided to keep it and get rid of the sauce. I ordered the cowgirl salad which was awesome but I had corn on it, meanwhile the menu did not incidate corn in the salad. Luckily, I like corn and didn't mind but this may not be the case for everyone. I'd also like to add the salad was quite small for a meal size. Dessert was awesome and a good portion for the brownie.
In conclusion, food was good minus the menu discrepancies, Browns management should sort that out. Surely this isn't...
