Came here because of the positive reviews but likely will not be returning. I ordered a dish (which did not state had pork in the menu) which only listed seafood. That dish took 15min to arrive and when I learned it had pork, I informed the server. I indicated I would not have ordered it if that ingredient had been listed. I told them I don’t eat meat. I asked if they could change the soup to the vegan broth and they said yes. Another 15min goes by, they assure me they are remaking my dish with vegan broth but when it arrives, there is egg in the broth - so it’s not vegan.
I barely eat for 10min and have to leave and ask for containers to pack up most of my meal to go. They take another 5-10min to get me containers and then won’t let me pack my own food. A woman insisted that I let her pack my food for me even though I said I wanted to do it. She still insisted and took my bowl and chopsticks and while transferring my food, dropped part of my food onto the table. She then asked me if I wanted her to put the tofu that she had dropped onto the table, into my takeout container. I was beyond frustrated that she reduced my takeaway meal by dropping it on the table then asked me if I wanted a piece of contaminated food that was on the table. I was stunned. I said no of course stating that clearly it’s touched the table and is NOT food safe but she made no effort to reduce the charge for the mistakes, the delay in getting the food or for losing part of my meal. Won’t be going back.
If you have food restrictions beware; they do not list all the dish’s ingredients on the menu. The crab pho has crab balls made of pork. And I recommend packing your...

I was greeted warmly the moment I walked in and quickly seated with water and a friendly offer for a beverage. For a casual dining spot, the service was impressively professional—quick, attentive, and efficient. I was especially amazed that the staff could memorize our orders without writing them down!
My food arrived within 5–10 minutes, and the presentation immediately stood out—beautifully plated, especially for a pho restaurant. I ordered the pho with tripe, brisket, and tendon, and it did not disappoint. The broth was the star of the show—rich, flavorful, and easily the best I’ve had. The addition of half-cooked onions and black pepper elevated the taste even more. The brisket and tripe had great texture, and although I personally prefer the tendon a bit softer, it was still enjoyable.
What sets this place apart is that they offer a bowl combining tripe, tendon, and brisket as a menu item—which is surprisingly rare, even among other pho spots. That alone keeps me coming back!
There was a small mix-up with portion sizes— I ordered a regular and got a large (which I didn’t mind at all and got to take the rest home!). My neighbor had the opposite experience: he ordered a large but received a regular. Though the price was adjusted, he was still a bit hungry. We didn’t notice until the end of the meal, but it’s something to watch for next time.
Still, the overall experience was excellent. The food is top-notch, the staff is fantastic, and the parking is easy and stress-free. Definitely my go-to pho spot whenever a craving hits....
Read moreTook a little trip down to Langford to visit family this past weekend and decided to try one of the few Vietnamese places nearby. Original Pho Vietnamese Eatery was rated well online so we decided to give them a try! Just a short wait and we were seated but the friendly staff. I appreciated their covid safety protocols and overall the restaurant felt clean.
Onto the food! We ordered an Original Pho ($15), which was on the small side for a large bowl. Ingredients were fresh and the broth had a interesting aftertaste we guessed was tamarind or something of that sort. It was quite average.
We also ordered two vermicelli dishes ($15 each), one with lemongrass chicken and the other lemongrass pork, both paired with shredded pork and a fried roll. These were both quite good, the pork being the better of the two. Fried rolls were crispy and a good size. Portion-wise this was standard and had a nice presentation.
I was mostly disappointed with the chicken wings special ($10). When the dish arrived I noticed that half the top drumette part was removed and there were 4 wings. These were seasoned well but overcooked and dry. I was appalled that these 4 wings were considered 8 pieces, since 4 of them would then mean they were half pieces? Definitely could use room for improvement on this.
Service was prompt and food was fresh. Portions are on the small size for the price, but flavors...
