SHAKE IT Bubble Tea (Langford) — Restaurant in Langford

Came here for the first time as we saw it had good reviews. Staff are pleasant and place looked clean. When it comes to bubble tea, to be considered "good" and authentic" it needs to use good quality ingredients like real whole milk, and authentic brewed tea. Unfortunately, this place uses the worst ingredients. The roasted black tea consists of fake non-dairy creamer mixed with water which is absolutely terrible for our bodies as it's loaded with hydrogenated oils. The tea is a tea powder that does NOT have any flavor and leaves a gross powdery taste in your mouth. For the price this place is a NO GO for us. Bubble tea has been one of the most important thing in my life. Taiwan is where bubble tea was invented, the original bubble tea place.

The best winter melon juice with milk I have ever have in Victoria. Believe me, I tried basically every bubble tea place, but shake it really stands out making the perfect winter melon!

They also have bubble cake! Limited, recommend book in advance:)

Be warned; the bottom of my daughters bubble tea gave out, spilling the drink all over the ground as she got out of the car. Luckily it didn't spill in the car. Their answer when we drove all the way back for a replacement drink? " looks like you cut the bottom out". To be fair, that's how clean the break was, but the audacity of replying with a accusation that we did it on purpose lol...this is not how to do business. We got our replacement drink, but not before this absurd conversation. Also messaged them on Facebook to say accusing a customer of cutting the bottom out is not how to do business...no answer. Don't give these people...
