Joe Schmoe's Eats N Drinks — Restaurant in Lasalle

Came for the Burger Battle last night & left extremely disappointed. We ordered the tower of onion rings & they were undercooked & soggy. My boyfriend ordered the Big Joe burger ($19) & enjoyed it, I ordered the Pig Mac ($21) & the mac & cheese was so spicy, I couldn’t eat it. I was glad I tried a few pieces that had fallen off the burger before taking a bite, the mac & cheese instantly set my mouth & stomach ablaze. My boyfriend tried the mac & cheese & also found it very spicy. By the time I got the waitress’ attention, my boyfriend had finished his burger. She offered to get me a new burger, I switched to the BBQ Jack ($18), which came out quickly. Unfortunately, my stomach was so upset, I couldn’t eat any more & had to take it to go. She hadn’t mentioned there was a $2 up charge for both Caesar salads that had minimal dressing, a few dry croutons, & maybe half a piece of bacon, & I left most of mine behind after the spicy Mac. I absolutely Love coming here to see Diane No better server out there She treats my kids with respect. She is kind and she goes above and beyond every time

I do, however not a big fan of the food. There's not a big gluten-free selection Although they do offer some stuff, it's not exactly mind-blowing. I mean they could add them. Gluten-free dessert would be nice or even more gluten-free options for barbecue
