Coco Frutti Daniel-Johnson — Restaurant in Laval (administrative region)

Very friendly staff. They come around the tables frequently to refill coffee and make sure customers are satisfied with their meals. It is a small restaurant inside though. When we went, it was not too busy. I imagine it may be more challenging with the limited seating on a busier day/at a busier time. The restaurant seems clean but the dining area has a somewhat cheap feel to it; for instance, the material of the booth we were seated at was ripped. It’s a minor thing but is still important. The prices are pretty affordable for a breakfast place and the portions are generous overall. However, the dish I ordered contained a side of French toast but the portion was admittedly small (I compared it to other breakfast places I’ve been to; it was half the size of what I expected). The taste of the food was OK. The bacon was definitely overcooked and was kind of bland. The eggs were not that tasty and the yolk not very runny either. I was mostly disappointed with the lack of fresh fruits on the plate; just one slice of melon and an orange slice. The potatoes and beans were delicious though, as was the toast. Service was kind of on the slow side, from being greeted and seated, and receiving our orders. I would consider coming back here and perhaps trying a different dish. This restaurant wouldn’t be my first...

First time coming, and honestly won’t be returning.

Service was not good at all. We were seated pretty quickly but once seated, were completely ignored for at least 15 minutes before even getting some coffee. We had to wait another 10 minutes before even getting our order taken, meanwhile people who arrived after us were being served before us??? We even tried to make eye contact with a waitress who just looked at us and kept going… it was at the point where we were contemplating leaving because we were just being completely ignored…

As for the food, it is very mediocre… and overpriced… nothing that stands out about this place that would make me want to return.

With all the breakfast options available in the area, you guys need to improve on your food...

Avant aujourd'hui, j'aurai donné 3.5 etoiles: bouffe correcte, grandes portions, un peu overpriced.

Aujourd'hui, je lamente ne pas avoir d'option 0 ou -1.

Après être venus plusieurs fois pour le brunch du weekend, je m'inquière s'il y'a des spéciaux du matin pendant la semaine et la "gérante" au cheveux tirés très haut (une gamine de la famille à laquelle on a donné une position de pouvoir?) m'assure qu'il y'a "jusqu'à 50% sur le menu avant 8h, mais il faut demander à la serveuse". Bah, très bien. On essayera ça un jour.

Et un jour est arrivé. J'arrive un peu avant 8h et je demande à la serveuse "Avez-vous toujours un spécial lève-tôt?". Elle me répond "oui, nous avons le lève-tôt" et elle s'en va. Aucune autre indication ou spécification.

Dans les vingts milles autres établissements de déjeuners de cette province, s'il n'y a pas de tableau avec les promotions du jour à l'entrée, cela veut dire que tout le menu est au rabais.

Donc je commande et je me met à table: bouffe correcte, grande assiette, un peu overpriced (mais il y'a un rabais).

20min plus tard, arrive la facture. Pas de rabais. Je rappelle la serveuse. "En fait, c'est seulement certains articles monsieur. Il fallait demander". J'ai demandé, Madame. "Oh l'autre serveuse est nouvelle, elle ne savait pas". Ce n'est pas mon problème, voyez-vous. Mais je veux mon rabais. "Le gérant n'est pas là". Encore une fois, vos arnaques ne sont pas mon problème Madame. "Je vais parler à la gérante". Très rapide, cette gérante pour venir en 3min.

Vient alors la "gérante" de l'autre fois, cheveux toujours très tirés. "On a un menu lève-tôt Monsieur, il fallait demander". "J'ai déjà deman... vous savez quoi? Je vais juste payer et ne plus jamais remettre les pieds ici".

Je suis presque à la porte que dans un ton d'enfant gâtée mal élevée, elle me crie un "à jamais monsieur" avec un coucou de la main et un air vainqueur.

Je sort un peu perplexe. Qu'a-t-elle gagné à part un client en moins et une alopécie...
