Dunn's The Resto is an average restaurant that caters to late-night diners. While it may satisfy your hunger during odd hours, it falls short in terms of overall quality and service.
If you find yourself hungry at night and in need of a quick meal, Dunn's The Resto could be a viable option. Their extended opening hours make it convenient for those seeking sustenance during unconventional times. However, it's important to manage your expectations.
The standout dish at Dunn's The Resto is their honey mustard chicken salad. It offers a decent blend of flavors, with the chicken being adequately cooked and the dressing providing a tangy twist. However, beyond this dish, the menu lacks variety and creativity.
The service at Dunn's The Resto leaves much to be desired. While the staff is friendly, there are noticeable gaps in attentiveness and efficiency. Orders may be inaccurately prepared, and the overall experience can feel rushed or disorganized.
The atmosphere of the restaurant is ordinary, lacking any significant ambiance or distinctive features. It feels like a run-of-the-mill establishment, rather than a place that goes above and beyond to create a memorable dining experience.

Read moreIt's not often I get an opportunity to visit Montreal. Had a business trip there this week, and only had time for one personal meal and I wanted good local smoked meat. A colleague out of our Montreal office recommended Dunn's as it was close to the hotel, and I have to say, I was beyond impressed with their service, and the quality of the Reuben we got. After a long flight from Calgary to Montreal, with a near three-hour delay, this was our first stop upon arrival and it was a fantastic welcome to Montreal. The meat was perfectly juicy with the right fattiness to complement the texture and flavours - incroyable! Not to mention a properly done coleslaw that I haven't had in a while.
It was so good that before flying back to Calgary, I popped in en route to the airport to get two sandwiches to bring back to Calgary for my wife. The staff was very accommodating in deconstructing the sandwiches and packaging the meat separately to avoid the bread getting soggy. My wife was beyond ecstatic and thoroughly enjoyed the sandwiches when I arrived home. I promised her I would bring her to Dunn's in person whenever we find ourselves out east again, and it will for sure be the Laval location!
Well done Team Dunn's. I can see why you've been in business since 1927!...
Read moreI would give a 0 if I could. I called for delivery and asked for grilled salmon because it's not on their menu. The person who answered me he assured me that they have grilled salmon served with rice and mixed veggies and it's $39.50 for 2 plates. The delivery guy arrived with a bill of $50.59 for 2 salmon honey-nut ...... I called the restaurant to verify if there's a mistake because I ordered 2 regular grilled salmon not honey-nut and the price is not the same either. The best answer I got from the manager is that I'm right but that's all they have and I have no choice but to get the food because it's already made and delivered and the price is different because whoever punched the food charged me for chicken cajun instead of salmon (no salmon & no price for it on their online and delivery menus) ....the best she can do is to give me a discount on my next purchase. OKKKKK I don't know why she's so confident that I'm gonna ever order from them again !!!!.... like what if I'm allergic to peanuts ?! and did I have to guess that her employee charged me for chicken ?! on top of all that their mixed veggies is just broccolis and one of the plates had 3 small broccolis only.... I...
