2024 Review:

We returned for another visit and were disappointed in the food quality this year. All 4 of us had the steak and this time around each piece had quite a bit of grizzle, as not nearly as good as last year or the year prior. Also, they've reduced their portion sizes on mashed potatoes, the bowl used to be full, this year they used a smaller "ice cream" scoop. We visited on a Sunday, wasn't that busy but the server took along time to check on us, clear and give us our bill. If we visit again, we would not have the steak again.

2023 Review:

We are intown for our kids hockey tournament and did our research prior to arriving and we're excited to try out the Imperial. They were amazing! We all had the steak which was cooked to perfection. The gravy / onions / mushrooms went perfect with the steak, the garlic mashed were great as well. The Imperials french fries were also cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside, tender in the middle, its this attention to detail that sets this establishment ahead of the rest. Raw bloody chicken, forgot to bring us our drinks, refused to call boss. Argued that chicken can be bloody by the bone. Properly cooked chicken, the blood turns brown it doesn’t stay bright red. Insisted three times I order something else, even brought me the menu after I told her I didn’t want anything else. The first waitress said everything would be complimentary, the second waitress came and said had to pay for the coffee and second meal. The second waitress said her job was on the line if I didn’t order different food. Absolutely horrid. I felt so disrespected. Just ate there last night. We were seated quickly, waitress was friendly and patient and told us portions are enough for two meals (she was right!), our orders were there quickly and hot, everything was great. Lots of selections, good variety and reasonably priced. I know i will definitely be back when visiting Leamington because it is hard to find a restaurant with Canadian selections in town now. Both of us were from out of town and it was nice to be able to talk without also hearing everyone else's conversations or feeling that others could hear ours easily.
