February 2025 They hit it out of the park again! We surprised my mother-in-law for her 90th birthday at her seniors' residence on February 9. It was a no-brainer to ask Bootsma Bakery to fashion the cake. My mother-in-law was delighted - the cake (vanilla with vanilla custard filling and vanilla buttercream frosting) is her favorite. All who participated waxed rhapsodic over it.

Many, many thanks to the bakers and decorators who made this occasion so special and memorable.

November 2023 My husband and I are celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary on Nov 22, and we asked Bootsma Bakery to recreate our wedding cake to share with friends the Sunday before.

The cake was sublime : vanilla, with vanilla buttercream. The embellishments were stunning, and the taste was glorious.

I can't say enough about Bootsma Bakery. Go there! You will not be disappointed!

The owners care deeply about their customers, their staff, and their community. The baked goods are of the highest quality, and we will drive the hour it takes to sample their offerings again. I just hope we can get all the way home without eating...

The food was this funny dichotomy of amazing and terrible. The maple dip donut and chocolate dip shortbread was so amazing, I devoured them in the car. The lime and raspberry donuts, and imperial cookies were so bad, I threw them out. The donut base is really great, light and fluffy, everything you want a donut to be. The maple icing was just the right amount of maple and sweetness. The shortbread was buttery and melt in your mouth, with a nice chocolate finish. Just delicious.

The “lime” and “raspberry” filled powder donuts had the same amazing donut base, but the filling was essentially coloured goo. I asked the cashier if the fillings were made in-house and was told yes, but they taste like they came out of a plastic bucket or was punch drink, thickened with corn starch. I couldn’t have told you the flavours beyond fluorescent green goo and red goo. The imperial cookie might have been good once upon a time, but tasted like it was at least three days old.

If you are looking for a local bakery to make your very special wedding cake look no further! I came across Bootsma bakery hunting for my wedding cake online being out of town bride. Jamie was so quick to respond & easy to communicate. She knows what people are looking for and finds the best solution & approach. She came up with so many great ideas for my cake! It was really easy for me to choose & their prices are VERY COMPETITIVE! I had quite a few estimates from different bakeries & their prices were ridiculous for the product they were offering. I believe no one can bit Bootsma Bakery for wedding cakes in Lethbridge area! Our wedding cake was extremely delicious! We actually had 3 different cakes in one. It looked gorgeous! Everybody complemented on it and were asking where we ordered our cake. Besides, they do delivery to the venue & full set up of the cake for a small fee.
