I recently tasted Macao Imperial Tea for the first time and was completely blown away. The quality of their tea is clear from the first sip, and the flavours are complex and delicious. I really appreciate that they provide options for varying levels of sweetness. I can't wait to try more of their drinks. Macao Imperial Tea is my go-to destination for a quick and pleasant drink. Their drinks are always consistent and delicious, and their pricing are affordable. Furthermore, the shop's environment is usually cosy and welcoming, making it the ideal area to hang out with friends or get some work done. Read moreWe were craving for bubble tea after dinner and looked up available options nearby. We came across this place and seeing the rave reviews, decided to go here. Boy were we disappointed! The staff were nice enough and service was quick. However, for a whopping $20+ for two drinks, it was a HUGE disappointment. I got the cheesecake pearl cacao, L ($ 7.45) and the pearls were extra $1.35, for a whopping $9 something it was a watered down drink. It tasted like water and milo mixed with "cream cheese" scraped on the cup sides for the looks. My husband excitedly got the avocado mango ($8.99) with pearls (extra $1.35). When he tasted it, he was so disappointed. He asked them twice if it was fresh fruit, they all nodded yes. It tasted like ice slush and mild mango after taste. He has gone back to ask for a re-make of the drink.
UPDATE: He went back to politely for a remake of his drink since he did not like it and the staff were so rude to him. Their claim was "read our reviews". They refused to remake his drink and if they did, asked him to pay 50% for the drink. When he complained it was watery, their excuse was, "you asked for less ice". They were rude to him and treated him poorly. Racist much? Wow, we were never this poorly treated. Hopefully they learn from this and won't use ice as a way make people pay...
Read moreAbsolutely fantastic! Macao Imperial Tea in Lethbridge is hands-down one of the best boba tea places I've ever been to. The drinks are always incredibly delicious and made with high-quality ingredients. Whether you're looking for a classic milk tea like Black Sugar Purple Taro or something more unique you won't be disappointed.
But that's not all - their snacks are also really good! I highly recommend trying their kwek-kwek, siomai and hotdog variants! They're the perfect accompaniment to your drink and make for a really satisfying snack.
The staff are always friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere is cozy and inviting. It's the perfect place to catch up with friends or grab a quick pick-me-up during a busy day plus they have a karaoke. Also, their prices are very reasonable for the quality of their drinks and snacks.
If you're a boba tea lover in Lethbridge, you absolutely have to try Macao Imperial Tea. Trust me, you won't...
