Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Lethbridge

My Daughter walked to get a blizzards. She came back to give me mine. I took one bit of the blizzard that was mine and instantly knew it was not reeses peanut butter cup. I bit into something that was crunchy and something gooey. So then daughter tried the one that was supposedly hers and was upset instantly because she said it tasted funny. Hers was a light brown in color and when mixing it with a spoon, looked like just some sort of chocolate chunks in it. I walked back with them to return them, already getting sick from something in the one I ate. Got to the dairy queen and talk to a guy. He said they are just closing and all he could take my name and number. He said he confirmed the order several times and the only way that other ingredients get mixed in is if they are using the same spoon which they should not be. He said I can come back to get new blizzards. I advised him will not be coming back. This is not the first time they have made our order wrong. I walked back and was physically ill twice on my way back with these blizzards that were wrong. Got back and asked my Daughter what exactly she ordered. She read it from her phone. It was definitely not what the guy from dairy queen said he confirmed. Not even close. Plus Daughter confirmed he did not make them, some girl did. Not impressed. The blizzards went in the garbage, I am physically sick from this, out money, a waste of time, and absolutely no treat that we were looking forward too Very poor...

I just want to preface that I never write these types of reviews. This is the only one I’ve ever done. Anyway, tonight was one of the worst experiences I’ve had in Lethbridge in terms of service. My girlfriend and I ordered chicken strip basket combos. The girl taking our order didn’t ask what we wanted for drinks, so I mentioned that we wanted 7-up. The response was a somewhat annoyed “oh you want drinks?” I figured that was customary with a combo? Anyway we got the window and were told the wait would be short. We literally sat at the drive through window for over 10 minutes while cars continued to line up behind us. We finally got our order and brought it home only to realize both our combos had about 15 or so fries each and that’s it. The order itself cost almost $30 so it felt fairly insulting to get what amounted to a half order of fries each after the long wait and rather unimpressive service. We ordered food here yesterday, the fella who took our order was accommodating and courteous. We wanted to order a 4pc of just the honey garlic strips on the side, when he turned to ask the manager on duty about it they were dismissive of him and not very supportive. He ended up just telling the cook to put sauce on them afterwards as it couldn't be rung in normally. I would have been fine with regular ones so I was initially happy that they chose to accommodate our order. When we got it into our car we realized it would have been better to get regular strips as the basket they were in was full of honey garlic sauce and was subsequently all over the contents of the bag. We also ordered a poutine, which came with partly cooked fries which was pretty gross in the texture department.
