I've been to the main Oshos dozens of times over the years, and I've even ordered from Express a few times. All with fairly okay experiences, but this latest time was too much for me and I'm done with this place.
I ordered a party platter for takeout, and was told a 45 minute wait time. I arrived and was told that my food wasn't ready and it shouldn't be much longer. I sat around and waited, asked again and was told that it wouldn't be ready for another additional 45 minutes. I go across the street to the convenience store and meander around and come back. When I come back I asked where we were at with my takeout order, I hear a staff member mutter "oh is that the one that we forgot to put in?"
I'm extremely frustrated with the staff but I'm not yelling and I tell them that I'm extremely dissatisfied. I can understand issues and mistakes, but own up to them. Without asking they provided an extra order of "Crispy crispy" as compensation for waiting so long. An attempt to make things right, which is understandable.
When I took the order home, my wife and I were so disappointed with the platter and found it to be so inedible. We've had sushi many many times in the past and so I know that my fish shouldn't smell particularly "fishy" What we recieved smelled like it was about to expire. I was getting hints of mould taste when we were eating it. Under normal circumstances I'd have considered bringing things back and letting them know how bad things were. But after this I'm done, no more, never again. I took the loss and threw it all away and I'll...
Read moreFirst time here. With downtown Osho closed on Mondays we found Osho Express. Glad we tried the restaurant. Not too busy when we arrived. Waitress was over right away and took our drink order then came back to take our order. Dinner for one. Noodles, fish katso , beef teriyaki. With there famous katso sauce and teriyaki sauce. Cabbage and rice. Restaurant filled up fast. Food also came out fast. Might even be better than the downtown location. Other order was dinner for one but with chicken teriyaki and potatoes instead of noodles. Both plates were very tasty and large portions. Next time going to try there sushi 🍣. Pretty stuffed when we left. Going back for sure. 🍱. Restaurant was very clean and not a lot of seating. Lots of takeout. Also had Sunomono . Has noodles, shrimp, thinly sliced cucumber all marinated in rice vinegar for several...
Read moreMy recent visit to O-Sho Express Sushi in Lethbridge was a letdown compared to other Japanese restaurants in the area. The ambiance was simple and clean, with a casual vibe, but lacked warmth or refinement. The service was polite and attentive, though not particularly memorable. Unfortunately, the food was the biggest disappointment. The yakisoba was overly salty, the teriyaki lacked depth of flavor, and the katsu was too dry inside. The side of potatoes and broccoli tasted unseasoned and unappetizing. Given the quality, the pricing felt on the higher side, making it less of a good value compared to other options. Overall, while convenient, I wouldn’t recommend it unless improvements are made to the...
