POP’s TapHouse & Grill PUB is located in Columbia Blvd West Lethbridge, which is nearby the Shoppers Drug Store. The location is very convenience for students who are from the University of Lethbridge. There are many parking spots in front of this PUB. People can be easier to park their cars. POP’s TapHouse & Grill has Wings night on each Wednesday.
Chicken wings are one of my favorite dishes in the Pub. This Wednesday night, my boyfriend took me to here for Chicken Wings. This location is 10 mins away from our house. We arrived there before 5 pm. Even though it’s still early before the dinner time, there were so many people hanging out there. We found the table and began our orders. We ordered three different flavors of Chicken Wings with a draft beer. The food and drink came out very late. There are two different kinds of Chicken Wings, such as dry and wet wings. We had Sweet Chilli, Salt and Pepper, and Roasted Garlic and Red Peppers three flavors wings. The wings were all medium size and tasty, which was great. The Sweet Chilli Wings were my favorite. The wings were sweet with a little bit of spicy. So tasty. Other two type of wings were also great. I like POP’s TapHouse & Grill’s Chicken Wings. The servers were also slow. I think it’s because of so many customers. We had to wait for a long time to pay the bills. Other than that, we enjoyed our dinner at POP’s...
Read moreThis place is a shell of its former self. Pops Pub West was genuinely one of the best places to eat in town but the owners of The Duke instead decided to inherit the bar as is, change its name, and keep its reviews. If you take a moment to read some of these reviews you'll quickly realize that they are AI generated and bought by the owners. This quickly becomes apparent when you see pictures and images of an indoor sunroom that cannot physically exist in the STRIP MALL, as well as plating and presentation that you will never find if you order from here.
I've lived next to this place for the last three years and every time I've been has been more disappointing than the last. I'd rather eat the pizza from either of the two establishments in the same strip mall and buy liquor from the store next door than step into the seedy atmosphere that surrounds The Duke.
If you love dive bars with patrons who are trying to relive their glory years and a perpetual air of decay around you then this place is the...
Read moreIt's a classic pub, with classic pub fare. I happened to dine for lunch, and it was pretty decent. The service was very quick, and the food was timely, even though we were a good sized group.
I ordered the Manchester beef dip, and it was alright; things I liked and things I didn't. The good things were the sandwich contents, and the consistency of the au jus. The beef was tasty, the horseradish sauce, Swiss cheese and onions were all very welcome. The au jus was slightly thickened to a thin gravy consistency. Stuck to the sandwich really well. I wasn't thrilled that it was served on white sandwich bread instead of a roll. I'm firmly in the camp that a good roll is the correct choice for a beef dip. Secondly, the au jus somewhat lacked beefy flavour for me. Mostly salty, and that's all.
Overall, good experience. I'll be back, but there is room for...
