Took my Aunt out tonight to celebrate with my partner and I gotta say what an extreme disappointment this was. The service was okay not the best by any means. The food was terrible and that’s putting it nicely! It came out on a tin tray! Honestly reminded me of prison food! I was absolutely in shock and embarrassed that I took my Aunt and partner here. The food presentation was a joke and especially just slopped onto the prison tray ! Last time I ate here they used plates and bowls! The food came out cold and just overall didn’t taste very good! I actually sent mine back and it came back the same if not worse but I tried my hardest to take a few bites and had to call it quits! I wouldn’t feed it to my dog! Nothing was compensated ! I love paying for terrible food and bad service! I should have known by how disgusting the bathrooms were just to leave at that point! I could only imagine how the kitchen looked! Also I had the chance of overhearing the waitress saying to another waitress that nobody has been cleaning the tables! I would never recommend coming hear ever! Completely avoid it and I will never come back!! $70 for trash! | Editing this review id give this now a half star because this was 2 months ago and as you can see the manger has commented below and did email me but since then has done nothing to help with the situation or anything! I even emailed back to see what could have been done and nothing from them. They obviously just comment on here to look good without actually fixing anything! NEVER RECOMMEND THEM AND...

Update 2023 Really glad Joey’s has survived the last 2 years. It’s still one of our favourite places to eat in Lethbridge. Great food and service.

This Joey's is always busy because their food is excellent. It's the only Joey's Only that has never disappointed.

Went again. Tried the tempura green beans and a special treat from the owner, a deep fried pickle. I couldn't believe how delicious the pickle was! The beans were also very good. We are always treated very well by the owners and staff. The food is delicious. I don't recommend other Joey's but I highly recommend this one. The atmosphere and seating are much nicer than others we've been too. The food is hot fresh and so good. They were more than happy to let me brew and make my own sugar free iced tea. We had the fish and chips for 2 for $20. Includes endless beverages a huge pieces of their battered fish...more than I can eat at lunchtime with chips and their yummy coleslaw and you get to share any dessert from the menu. We chose the kit Kat cheesecake that was excellent. We also took advantage of the 3 appetizers for $15 deal so we could try some new items. Everything right down to the dipping sauces were well matched and perfect accompaniments. I had to get half of my meal and dessert to go. It was enough for supper. For fish and seafood the prices are quite reasonable with something on special each day of the week. You won't leave hungry. We have always been very happy with the food the selection new menu items the service...

three stars for good food and service. docked stars for the abysmal handicap accessibility. tables and chairs are places way too close together to let a wheelchair pass - we had to move multiple tables and chairs to fit a wheelchair through.

the women’s bathroom is BEYOND not wheelchair friendly. yes, they have a handicapped size stall but that doesn’t mean the bathroom is accessible. it is not.

first - the doorway is so small the wheelchair’s wheels scraped the door and jam trying to get in.

second - the sink is so large it takes up all the space so a wheelchair literally cannot FIT to even get to the handicapped sized stall.

we had to park my elderly grandmother’s wheelchair next to the sink and instead my mother and we had to stand one in front and one behind my grandmother to manually walk her into the stall. the handicapped stall also does not have a lock.

the sink is not handicap accessible to a person in a wheelchair (way too high, wheelchair cannot get close enough, and the paper towel is utterly not reachable whatsoever.

we love joey’s. but we will never be returning...
