Marble Slab Creamery — Restaurant in Lethbridge

Always loved this place, the girls that works here are very nice and friendly, they also remember us (my husband and I go once a week or 2x a month) but recently, we haven’t been seeing the girls and it’s only the bald guy working there. When my husband went to the store one time, he ordered our usual , we like it in a cone but since he’s driving, we liked it to be in a cup and just the cone on the side. The guy insisted that he gets a bowl cone instead, but my husband said that we just wanted the cone on the side.

I came back a couple days later (lol, yes, we love ice cream) and he did the same thing to me, insisted if I wanted a bowl cone instead. I also showed my AMA card to him for discount but he didn’t apply it, nor offered or asked me if I want my receipt.

He also turned off the open sign 10 minutes before he closes. While when it’s with the girls they mostly still take order even 5 minutes after they close.

We probably won’t be coming back if he’s the one who’s always working there. I’d rather go to the west side or try the one...

Went in and I picked my ice cream cake from the display . I then proceeded to tell the gentleman what I wanted written on the cake, this older balding gentleman pretty much told me what I wanted in writing didn't make sense and offered his opinion what he thought it should say ! First of , you didn't know why I wanted it to say what it did so just do as I ask. But nope, I had to write it out on a paper for him,. And again TWICE he asks if I'm sure. At this point I'm ready to just leave. He goes to the back with my cake and AGAIN comes to the counter and asks me if I'm sure this is what I want written on my cake. Seriously dude! And as I leave he says to me " you know it has to go in the freezer when you get home" thanks tips cause I would have left it on the counter. Worst experience ever, customers behind me...

I tend to go to this location more so than any other and the sole reason is the kind service. The staff is very patient and courteous despite it being busy or not. They always seem to love their job, and on top of it all, they know their stuff about each flavour. I have had flavours that range from chocolate to strawberry and everything in between. Being able to taste test what you are buying always helps too! They even have dairy free options if you are needing that!
