This is going to be long but it's about time I leave a review.. I've been going to this location for the past 3 years since it's the closest one to my house. but they are always messing up my orders.. tonight was my tipping point. My boyfriend asked me to pick up some food on the way home. the order was a filet-o-fish sandwhich, a mcdouble sandwhich with an extra patty and extra mayo and a jr. chicken meal, with extra mayo, large iced tea, sub fries for a poutine with extra gravy. Everything on the screen looked good. payment went smoothly. then at the last window they asked me if I already paid, I said yes and they gave me the iced tea and asked me to pull up to the front to wait for the rest of the order, no worries. Since it was late I figured they needed to make a few things fresh which I don't mind. I ordered at 1:57am and by the time it hit 2:15am I started questioning if they were still cooking. I've worked at Mcdonalds in the past and I know it doesn't take THAT long to cook the patties and fries. It wasn't busy either, I was the only one there. So I went to drive-thru again and asked if my order was ready. Through the monitor, the lady speaking didn't understand what I was asking. I repeated my order and she still didn't seem to understand and then proceeded to tell me that their system is rebooting so she can't take my order. For the third time I had to say that I already ordered nearly 20minutes ago but I didn't recieve anything but my drink. Then they asked me to pull the last window. The lady opened the window and just stared at me with confusion until I asked her if my order was ready. She asked again what my order was. I was starting to get a bit annoyed since I've said my order 4 times at this point. She turned to talk to her co-worker and then I saw that my order was sitting just behind her. When she passed it over to me I asked if it was cold. She said they just finished cooking it. It was still warm so I guess it really did take nearly 20 minutes to cook.. ok. anyways I rummaged through the bag quickly to see if all the items were there. filet, jr. chicken, mcdouble, poutine. Solid. but I asked if I could have the extra gravy on the side. The lady said that they don't have anymore gravy. which I was in disbelief since they just made me a poutine. At this point I just wanted to go home so I said thank you and went on my way. I got home, gave my boyfriend the bag and was about to head to bed when he said jokingly 'they gave me a knife for my poutine haha, what am I supposed to do, stab my fries?' brushed it off since we obviously have cutlery at home. but then he said 'there isn't a bun on the mcdouble. is there any extra mayo?' I literally thought 'are you serious..' and then he looked through the bag more and found a cookie. not secured in a bag, just a cookie. I like cookies but damn I didn't order a cookie. I asked to look at the reciept because maybe they just didn't input the order correctly.. but the reciept is exactly what I said. So after 3 years, here is my review: the food is solid. but the operations are wack. I suggest to look through the bag before you take off whenever you go to the drive-thru.. most likely you'll be missing dips, getting wrong cutlery, no straws for your drink or the...
Read moreWe usually order here because of the convenience of the location. When this McDonald's was still new, the service was great. However, I am not sure when it started (it's probably been happening for approximately a couple of years now), and I cannot count how many times already, every time we order from here, they never fail to miss something or mess up the order--and this is not an exaggeration. We understand if it only happens sometimes or if it was just a tiny mistake, but for it to happen all the time, it is very frustrating. The staff is usually understanding and friendly when we call to let them know of our concerns and issues.
But, another reason I am posting this review now (besides always getting an incomplete / incorrect order) is our most recent experience with this location. We ordered via the mobile app and picked it up at the drive-thru. I was pulled forward (though there were no cars behind me) and waited a few minutes for my order, which was not a problem. When I got home, we noticed that we did not get any fries from our meals, so I called the store. I spoke with Liezel, and unfortunately, the conversation was not great. I explained in detail my issue and told her what my whole order was, the exact time I ordered it, that it was a mobile order, and that I was just there a few minutes ago. She could not find our order, so she asked how many fries we were missing. I said two, to which she replied, "No, you're just missing one for the happy meal." We did not order a happy meal, and I explained this to her. She asked if I can just go back to the store to settle this, and I said I can but I was not done speaking yet. I was making sure I got her name right, but as I was asking her, she hung up. I called back and expressed my frustrations, and she still couldn't find our order, insisted that we ordered a poutine (we also did not), and was passive aggressive, making it look like we did not order anything at all, despite us clearly explaining our issue and detailing our order. We went back to pick up the fries and the compensation they offered us. When we got back home, we became even more frustrated when we opened the box of a dozen cookies we initially ordered, and there were only six. We had to call back. Another manager answered, and he was understanding and told us that we can go back anytime to get the cookies and the offered compensation.
We understand that the restaurant may get busy at times, but repeatedly getting incorrect orders and missing items is so frustrating, and the bad customer service (as described above) made the...
Read moreOur family has been to this location several times - it is new and handy to our home. We have not had a single occasion where the order was 100%. We find the order is either incorrect - missing items, wrong items etc, or it will be correct but the food inedible. The only reason we keep going back is we assumed it was 'growing pains', being a brand new store. But it seems to be getting worse.
Today I grabbed a coffee on the way to work, and was asked if i wanted to try their new banana caramel danish. Being a sucker for anything caramel, I said sure. I excitedly took a bite during my morning break to find I had actually been given a berry danish (ugh), so not only did i have to deal with the disappointment of having no caramel tasting treat, i also was left with a stale berry danish that i think was made last week.
Last week I ordered a McChicken and a plain hamburger. In the past 2 years of ordering a plain hamburger at other stores, I always get a bun with a hamburger patty. What did I get this time? I got a hamburger patty with a sprinkling of onion and a tiny squirt of mustard on it. WTH???? No bun! Just the middle!! If that wasn't bad enough, my McChicken appeared to be made with a VERY toasted middle bun from a big mac as the 'bottom' bun. So i had a soft top bun, and a super crunchy bottom. And the chicken patty was so dry and overcooked, even my dog struggled to eat it.
I was hoping that this store would improve given time, but alas, it doesn't appear to be. Bad quality food (even by mcdonalds standards), bad portion sizes, and the inability to fill a simple order.... I will not be returning (much to the delight of my waistline and...
