We were visiting the area and found this place on line and thought we should give it a try. We got there on a Sunday at bout noon and asked for a table of 6 - the place was packed and we were told we would have to wait a while. That was not a problem and we also said we could split up into smaller tables if that would help. A few minutes later, another lady at Boo's essentially ordered us outside, telling us we had to wait there as there was no room for us to wait inside. I asked how we would know when a table was ready and was curtly told "watch for people coming out and then try". A couple had entered while this was going on and the same woman asked how many - they said 2 and were immediately seated. I asked how that happened and didn't you have more tables? She looked at a booth for 4 and said you can try to cram in there if you like. Politely I reminded her that we had said we could split up - 4+2 = 6 and asked if it wasn't first-come, first-served?
She said no, I am taking those people.
Bottom line is that we left and while I cannot comment on the food, I can suggest this is the rudest place, at least this one woman was the rudest restaurant person I have ever come across. I guess if you like rude people working in a diner of this type, you may well have a...
Read moreAfter guiding a 16km hike along the Bruce Trail, Boo's is exactly what I needed. Upon entry to the eatery, you'll feel comfortable in the Mom & Pop diner stylings. The wait staff is very friendly and the owner was very kind. I ordered their 6oz Hamburger with all the fixings and added bacon and cheese. The burger came loaded with real bacon and cheese, and lots of toppings. A huge side of fries was included, more than I could finish. The food did not disappoint! Very tasty, cooked perfectly and large portions to fill you up. It's a great value for the very fair price. Easily accessible from King St., with ample parking and an additional parking lot across the road. Bruce Trail hikers can take the 320m Jordan Hollow Side Trail just off the main trail to grab an awesome lunch during your hike. Biker's can stop in for dinner and a drink on Tuesdays during Tuesday Bike Nights. While you're there, check out the flea market on the same property, many...
Read moreThis bldg has been here since l was a child so if you want the "suburbia cookie cutter ultra fake franchise" look go somewhere else. Boo's offers real food served by real people, there are no pretentious twits working here. The staff are super friendly and ALWAYS answer your menu questions honestly. I finally had the Bosnian sausages which sell out quickly....keep trying. When they don't have them you will be delighted by the other menu options available. Everything here is top drawer, all served fresh and in the amount of time you would expect of a small kitchen that makes fresh food. If you want a pre-fried microwaved burger....go to Micky D's. The decor is "diner kitch" and fits right in. Have a brewski and watch the world go by. One of my fav diners l have been to. Mon night is bike night (pictured) which...
