Plant No. 01 — Restaurant in Lincoln

🌴 Ambience: The most lovely, aesthetically pleasing bakery I have ever been in! Everything is beautiful with black, gold and wood trim. Inside the bakery are beautiful pictures and a plethora of delightful looking treats. It's a small indoor space, room for perhaps five people to stand inside comfortably. There's a few tables outside to sit at.

🍲 Food: There's a variety of refrigerated savoury goods. There's also so many fresh baked goods, savoury and sweet. We had two savoury treats, one focaccia roll, a cookie and an apple donut and they were all so delicious I could hardly believe it. We demolished the food before we could even take photos of it! There was also a variety of coffees and hot chocolate available with house made syrups and toppings.

💸 Price: Such a reasonable price for these baked goods! I highly recommend making a detour to come visit between Friday - Sunday to get a treat from here. You...

I had a simple order of two small coffees. They said that they only had large cups, so they would just fill it half way, and we were informed that the lids might fall off if we held the cups from the top because they ran out of matching lids for the cups. Ok fair enough, shouldn't be a problem. What I wasn't expecting, however, was for the coffee to leak out of the bottom of the lid as I was sipping it and stain my shirt.

The coffee itself was below average and was served luke warm. It was basically room temperature by my third sip. So I spent nearly $10 for two room temperature coffees and a stained shirt.

I could have got something twice as good for less than half the price if I had just gone to Tim's. I don't take pleasure in writing this review, as I love to support local shops, but you guys really need to get your stuff together. What an incredible restaurant this is. We're always looking for the best vegan spots around Southern Ontario, Michigan and wherever else our travels bring us, and this certainly ranks as one of the best we've been to.

The main course selections were right down my alley. We opted for the Lasagna, Gnocchi and Mac N Cheese. In addition to that, the sides were incredible too. All of it was top-notch and very very delicious.

The atmosphere is cool too. Rustic and lots of cool signs.

I loved how everything was compostable and eco-friendly packaging.

The icing on the cake of course is the desserts. Whether you choose the chocolate chip cookie or the peanut butter chocolate cookie sandwich, you can't go wrong. Both are fantastic.

Finally, the owners are gems. So kind, knowledgeable and helpful.

We'll definitely be back...
