We ordered here for the first time on Sunday, November 29, 2020. Being new to the area we selected this establishment based on positive reviews. When we called to place our order we were told it would be just over an hour wait. No problem we said. We waited and arrived in time to pick up the order. When we got back home we opened up our orders. We all ordered the fried chicken with the exception of one fried pickle burger. Everyone was hungry and started eating. Thankfully, I cut mine open!!!! I took a bite or two and realized they served us RAW chicken. And I do very well mean raw. Please see photos. And I certainly mean thankfully - I had two hungry young children whom I ordered the chicken for. We could have gotten seriously ill!!! When we called the establishment - they didn’t seem overly concerned - they first asked “do you want to come and PICK up another one”? Ummmm..... no? First of all, why would I want to eat from a place that just served me raw chicken? Second, shouldn’t you be bringing it to me if that was the case?! “Ok, well how many chickens do you want me to refund? What do you think is fair for us to give you back? I can etransfer you tomorrow”. Pardon? Fair? The entire meal was inedible!!! I sent photos that very moment to prove to them what they had served us. It was only when I stated that “it’s quite serious to serve us raw chicken” - did the girl say yes it’s embarrassing. She said a manager will follow up.

THANKFULLY, we were not violently ill. But, undoubtedly all stomachs were disturbed for that evening and the following morning.

They did refund my sister’s order by noon the following day. She received no follow up response from the manager/owner.

For some reason my order was not refunded and I had to email them to express my concern as to why I had to go chasing my money back. They sent it and reluctantly apologized and said “they’re looking into it”. No one “reached” out. The only reason they even responded to me was because I emailed again looking for the refund.

Overall, an extremely poor experience with food...

After a good recommendation from a friend and good reviews, we decided to try take-out here. We were very disappointed. When I first called, I was asked to wait. No problem. I could hear them talking and taking orders for about 10 minutes. Finally we were disconnected and I called back and placed our order. My husband wanted the taquitoes and a cheeseburger and fries. For my mom and I, we ordered the brisket with coleslaw, rice and beans and an extra order of mac and cheese, one of her favourite things. We also ordered the beignets. Cost was over $70. When we got home and opened it all, I was a bit taken aback by how small the portions were for the price. It was enough for the 3 of us, but was not what I expected for the amount paid. My husband noticed that there was no cheese on the burger. The lettuce was soggy and no tomato. I understand that happens with take out, but maybe if they were on the side for the customer to put on, they would have stayed nicer. The rice and beans were tasty. The brisket was tasty and there was a decent amount of that. The cole slaw was okay and fresh, but lacked flavour. The mac and cheese was terrible. Very little cheese flavour and dry. The amount that we got for it as an extra cost of $7.50 was sad. One could make that amount with that amount of cheese couldn't be more than $1. The beignets tasted a bit like beignets and are good, but not exactly Cafe Du Monde beignets. I did phone to let them know that they missed the cheese on the burger. They did say that we could have a restaurant credit equal to the burger or a new burger, and that was okay, but since we really were not impressed with the food and would not purchase again, we decided to forego this option. The server was nice. I wish them the best in these...

WOW! That's all I can say after this experience today! We had a large party of people reserved for a 4:30 dinner today and I can tell you that I am FLOORED with how terrible our service was today. We started off by getting drinks 45 minutes into the dinner which is already a poor start, we gave it the benefit of the doubt though.

Appetizers were handed out to half of the party at the same time as the other half was getting their mains, as if that is not bad enough when we raised the concern of why half the table had the mains, some with appetizers and some of us had nothing at all. Let me remind you this is now well over an hour into the dinner.

When trying to ask the waitress "tequila" why half our party has no mains she had responded with a grotesque remark of "shouldn't have gotten appetizers if you wanted food " as well as asking a member of our party if they had ever served before. This waitress is so out of line. Then proceeded to try and tell us that it was a joke and that if we don't get it it's our fault. Keep in mind we're an hour and a half into our dinner and we're quite hungry.

One of our orders never got the side and at an hour and a half in we tried to cancel the side and tequila had snapped back at us telling us it's our fault.

Finally when the last part of our order came in at the TWO hour mark of our dinner tequila was insulted that we wanted to take our food to go.

Best part is they still charged us for the food we never got.

TLDR: Fire tequila as she is a terrible waitress and will sink...

First time here....the food was just okay. We got a platter so we could sample what they have to offer. It consisted of ribs, wings, poutine, Mac n Cheese, beans, cornbread and some pickled onions and cucumber. The platter was $53. The wings were great...a dry rub we would definitely eat these again and enjoyed them. The ribs were fall-off the bone...so cooked tenderly and I would eat them again (my guy wasn't fussy on them or the sauce). The beans were just ok. The poutine came ...but it was just fries, so we had to ask to get the poutine it was supposed to come with. It came to us fairly speedily so the service is great....but the fries....no bueno. They were aggressively seasoned with something I did not care for at all. The seasoning did not pair well with cheese curds and gravy 🤢 and the fries on their own were not enjoyable due to whatever heavy seasoning they put on there. The Mac n cheese had real cheese on top...so that was a win. The cornbread... definitely not recommended. First of all, it was teeny tiny. Secondly, it wasn't flavorful. Third, it had the texture of a brick house. Dense, dense, dense and not at all enjoyable. Our waitress was fun and interactive and the poutine error was fixed quickly so service is a 4. The atmosphere was great and they do things like trivia on Mondays which I thought was fun so that gets a 4* too. We ordered drinks from the bar...the mixed berry sangria was refreshing and beer was beer! All in all, the experience was okay but I'm not sure it was great value for your dollars.

Went for a work lunch because I've been searching for a half decent BBQ spot in Niagara for a while. It was a Saturday early afternoon, not too busy, seated very quickly. The waitress was great, fast and friendly. They have Coke (huge thumbs up), a root beer that was on tap (it was good), and a bunch of great bottled beers. The menu was plentiful, and we decided to get the taco sampler (9 tacos for 40$) and the BBQ sampler for 2 (brisket or burnt ends + pulled or chopped pork + ribs + fries, cornbread, pickles, mac n cheese and beans). This amount of food would have been enough for 5 likely, as between 3 hungry people we still took home half of it. Bill for the two entrees and drinks was 122$. In general, I wake up in the morning on a BBQ day for brisket, cornbread and ribs, and all 3 of those are on point here! I also had 2 of the chicken tacos and 1 brisket taco which were all messy but delicious. The burnt ends were double smoked and succulent. Despite there being 4 different sauces at the table, I only liked 2 of them. And despite liking 2 of them I never felt at any time like any of the food necessarily needed to be sauced, because it was so juicy and flavourful. In my opinion, this is the best BBQ option from here to Buffalo, and chances are excellent that I'll be making the 25 minute trip from the Falls in the future when I get a hankering for some fantastic BBQ despite also liking the food at Frontier in the Falls and Rib Crib in St Catharine's.

Overall the service was slow to the point of being frustrating.  Over 30+ minutes from order to the table, possibly even closer to 40-45.  Even when the order was delivered, it was not even "warm".  So either the order was ready and not served (hands) or was prepped as such. This includes items that should be served hot ... like the Fries & Beans should be better than room temp.  The rest of it is possibly forgiven, but still disappointing. The food itself was pretty good.  Got the moonshine platter to get a cross section of the offerings since this was the first time we've been to the restaurant. Burnt ends were definitely the highlight, followed by the pulled pork and ribs.  1 of the ribs was just burnt to a crisp and not enjoyable. I'm curious to know if the Corn Bread used coconut oil in lieu of other oils due to the aroma.  More just to understand before making any recommendations to friends. The food felt like a good value for money.  The platter stated it was for 2 people.  probably closer to 3 with appropriate portion sizes. Ambiance is what you might expect for an American BBQ style restaurant.  However, it felt incomplete.  Some actual holes in the wall (exposed plaster), flickering lights caused us and other patrons issues, and some shelving that looked like it was for decorations had nothing on it.  (high up, like it was targeted to have a bottle collection or knick knacks)
