Subway — Restaurant in Lincoln

Went into subway with a friend of mine. We both had coupons. I got a rice bowl because I wanted to try it.

Portions were very small, chicken was dry and rice was not fully cooked. I did not want lettuce or onions in my bowl but I did want olives. Was informed I could only choose from a specific selection of vegetables. The only exception I could make was to add guac, which I would have to pay extra for.

My friend ordered his sub which was still being made while I went to pay for mine. I waited for him and when he tried to use his coupon, even though we were paying separately from different bank account he was told he couldn’t because he knows me.

Now I understand that you can’t use two coupons on the same transaction but I have never in my life heard of not being able to use a coupon because you know the person ahead of you in line.

The only reason we even went was because we both had coupons but I will definitely not be going back. Used to love subway, especially that location but both the location and the company itself have gone seriously downhill. Don’t send out coupons in the mail if you are not even going to...

I went into this subway wanting to use 2 coupons and was told I had to choose one. I tried fighting her on it because it doesn't say that I can only use one or can't be combined with other coupons. I told her that we will pay separately and she told me it doesn't work like that. Actually it does because what difference does it make if I got my partner to come in separately from me and use it ???? I've worked in food and retail for years and I know how coupons and deals work. Your choice of words matter when your making a coupon. She put them in the counter and walked away... As we got to the cash I saw their sign saying 1 per household per day. So if you want to get technical we don't live in the same household so that sign should've been invalid for our visit.

Words of advice if you want to use more than 1 coupon get your friend or partner, walk in separately to use them. Then walk out together. That's the only way you'll put smart...

Awful, just awful, went in there to order my sub (which went fine) and purchased a large drink with a bag of chips as well. I go to use the pop machine, no ice, drinks are warm, un-carbonated. So i ask if i could just replace it with a bottle (which i felt wasn't even close to the same amount of drink but whatever) and they flat out refused?!? How is that right? To not only sell me a drink with bi working pop machine, but to refuse a replacement?!? Absolutely ridiculous, needless to say i will not be giving this subway any more of my business, especially when there is a way better one right down the street. Please don't waste your money on these people who seemingly couldn't care less about the people who keep them...
