Kalash Indian Kitchen — Restaurant in Lulu Island

While passing through this restaurant, I noticed this lunch special Thaali board with special price. I couldn't resist mys self to try this Thaali. I am big fan of Indian Thalis.

They said, You can choose any Curry from their menu for Thaali, which surprised me (that means they make fresh curry for only for your Thali). I have chosen non-veg Thali (13.49$) option which comes with one veg and one chicken Curry (no lamb and shrimp included in Thali), one plain naan, Rice and Raita. I have selected Karahi Paneer (veg Curry) and Chicken tikka Masala ( non-veg Curry). The ambience is good, very clean and good service. The food is not at it's best but I can say it's worth for the given price. It is far better than eating junk food by paying 20$ on your work day lunch. The paneer Currey is 4 out of 5, but they should work on chicken tikka masala. I didn't find any taste in it. But the quality of food is good. The naan is very plain, they should offer Garlic naan to make the Thaali more tasty. Rice is of good quality they have used. Raita is fresh. Overall I am not disappointed, although I expected a better Chicken tikka masala which is a basic chicken curry in any Indian place and it shouldn't go wrong.

Overall I appreciate this restaurant team for their efforts to offer Thali at such low price yet quoty food. You don't even get a burger or sandwich from McD for that price in these inflation days. Also, the girl at front was friendly and did good job.

On a cold and rainy Saturday morning, my husband and I found ourselves craving a warm, comforting breakfast. On a whim, we decided to visit Kalash Restaurant in New Westminster, and what awaited us inside was nothing short of magical.

The moment we stepped in, the serene melody of bhajans playing on TV filled the air, creating a peaceful, spiritual ambiance that instantly made us feel at home. It was as if we had stepped into a sanctuary of warmth and positivity, shielding us from the dreary weather outside.

Now, let’s talk about the food. Absolutely delightful! Each bite was flavorful, fresh, and made with care. But if there’s one thing I would recommend without hesitation, it’s the samosa. Hands down, the best samosa I have had! Crispy, perfectly spiced, and utterly satisfying. If you are a samosa lover, this place will never disappoint.

I wish I could give them 0 start I order today 12 march around F 8:40. it was 20 min left to close their restorent.. before I ordered I asked them what can I do order so they can get ready in 20 min. I asked option and what ever option they gave me I ordered those food. I asked them if they can make mix veg in that time and girl said yes… I will put photos of mix veggie in my review. I spend more then $50 on my order but all food was garbage. We didn’t eat anything I throw all good in the garbage…because food was very bad. Mix veggie you guys can see in the picture. It’s not mix veggie it’s like veggie curry. Mix veggie always dry not watery. They are making fool of their customer’s I suggest don’t waist your money with them. I wanna say to owner if they have less time to cook they can say not to the customer. Is is good to make a fool of people? After eat one bite of food I couldn’t eat anything else and sleep hungry. It was taste less You guys can easily guess that how bad was their food that I didn’t eat At anything and throw in the garbage. They was close I couldn’t call them back and Throw that food front of them Food was taste less no spice no salt nothing. I never ever said that bad for any food…, but I cannot lie I don’t have worlds to show my felling that how my feelings gets hurt.

Please don’t buy and don’t wait your money on the food from kalash restorent.
