Small restaurant on the other side of the plaza (on the side with parking). About 7 tables inside the restaurant. The workers inside don't speak English, so I recommend using Google Translate. They speak Mandarin. They take credit and cash, and I think debit too. The menu has both Chinese and English on it. A kind customer helped us in English too. The worker was doing her best to understand our English. She was kind and accommodating and came in with forks when one of my friends struggled to use chopsticks.
The noodles are all relatively cheap. Under $15. We ordered the 3 Beef Noodle Bowl ($13.99), one spicy, and two not spicy. I also ordered a bowl of unlimited noodles and gravy. Here's how that works: you order a bowl of noodles from the menu, and after you finish the first bowl, you can ask to get the unlimited noodles which then gives you access to the multiple gravy options hot food counter. I personally tried the Potato and Eggplant gravy with my bowl of noodles. They also gave us a jar of lemon water.
The beef noodles bowls were good. The spicy soup hit my friend hard. The non spicy soup was a bit too salty, but it was tasty. The beef pieces were melt in your mouth soft goodness. The bok choy was crunchy. The noodles were chewy. The potatoes and eggplants and the gravy were surprisingly pretty salty.
Overall, it was good food. Don't worry if you can't speak the language, either ask a fellow customer for help or use Google translate (Chinese Simplified works well, tested). You can basically have unlimited noodles and gravy, after buying one bowl of noodles at either...
Read moreCame here because I saw some recommendations. At first, the staff seemed friendly, but I quickly noticed a few things that really turned me off. They served water straight from the tap, and when cleaning bowls, they only rinsed them with water instead of using soap. On top of that, the staff were loudly shouting orders to the chef across an open area where the gravy and buffet-style dishes were sitting—honestly, it felt unhygienic, since germs could easily get in. That grossed me out. The chef recommended the braised beef noodle, but the broth had a strange taste. I don’t eat lamb, and it seemed like the broth might have been made with lamb ingredients, which I didn’t enjoy. Overall, I don’t think I’ll come back, mainly due to the...
Read moreGot the stewed beef noodles and some sides, they have free noodle refills so it's pretty value and the soup and noodles were quite good, presentation leaves something to be desired but it's not a big deal. Sides are ok but not much to write home about, there's a variety of sauce toppings that you can get for free with your noodle refills as well that I didn't get around to try but looks...
